I just re-found these pics. Anybody know who owed this truck? This was a car show back in 2005 at a park here it town. I'm curious on the verdict of the 3.4L in an FJ4X vehicle.

Don't know the vehicle, but I do like that Idea, I think a V6 is perfect fit for this, and would be too for an fj40. You get a good gas mileage, but still plenty of power.
 
I had a '99 Taco with that motor in it. XCAB and 5-speed. I think it weighed 3,700 lbs. It has plenty of get up and go and got 17 - 20 mpg. My vague recollection was 190 hp and 220 lb-ft torque. So if an FJ4X weighs about the same I think it would be a good compromise of power and efficiency. But I'd be curious how much power would be sucked out by an older transmission and axles vs what came in a late 90's Tacoma.
