Most fridge covers are black or dark blue. Even the top of the line National Luna.

It's in the truck most of the time. Unless the sun is beating directly on it for hours the fabric color won't make a difference.

Yep, in the back of the truck with dark tinted windows. I figure for $15 and a couple hours of effort, it can't hurt....

Correct

Replaced EdgeStar handles with stronger aluminum ones

In my mind, a very weak point of the EdgeStar fridge are the cheap plastic handles. After feeling the plastic handles flex multiple times when moving the fridge from the garage to the truck full of beer, I decided to avoild the strong probability of a handle breaking, sending all of my beer to the ground.

I purcahsed these handles

Large Aluminum Surface Mount Handle (without Mounting Holes) - Surface Mount Handles - TCH

and drilled holes in them using the old handles as a template. I'm really happy with how it turned out. For a little over $30 and about 30 mins of time I now am confident that the EdgeStar is up to handle the duty of a full fridge of beer!

Another EdgeStar improvement!

Nice!

I wanted to update this thread on my t-max dual battery system.

Last weekend on a day trip, I noticed that my second battery was not charging correctly. This battery is used for my fridge and all other accessories. So, today I did some troubleshooting. It appears the T-Max solenoid was not working correctly. Sometimes it would complete the circuit and most of the times it did not.
I'm glad I caught this as it would have been very embarrassing to be on "Expo" in Moab and not have my fridge working.
Crunched on time, I decided to pick up a similar solenoid from Napa. $35 later and my dual battery system is working perfectly!

I would have noticed this issue way too late if it was not for my dual battery monitoring system. It was very apparent that my second battery was not being charged correctly.
