I know it's getting into the holidays but just wanted to get word out for all you AR guys and gals to put the 2nd Annual Mardi Krawl on your calendars if you haven't done so already. It will be April 10 - 13, 2014 at Hawk Pride Mountain ORV Park in Tuscumbia, AL again.

We've made a few changes for this coming year's event like the Endless Horizon Expedition Outfitters guys will be cooking some cajun food for us (not only can they help you trick out your ride but they are all from the New Orleans area and can cook some great cajun food) for Fri night's dinner AND we will have Matt Stell performing on Fri night as well. We are also raising money for the La Lions Camp, a non-profit that gives kids with disabilities the opportunity to go to summer camp and be just like all the other kids. This is provided FREE of charge to the families of the kids that participate in the camp. One of our own LLK members had a relative attend the camp and now he and his family volunteer lots of time and raise money for the camp through various venues. We will have a general raffle and a charity raffle. The charity raffle prize has been graciously donated by Suzy Brown from Brown Forensic Accounting. Plus we will have a charity downhill "race" but we are still working out the details on this.

Be on the lookout for the Jan - Feb Toyota Trails as there will be an ad for Mardi Krawl in there. Registration will be open in EARLY Jan. If you register BEFORE Feb 1, you will get $10 off.

You can always keep up with what's going on at our website and our FaceBook page:

We look forward to seeing some of the Razorback Land Cruisers out there.

Thanks for posting Mike. What is that park like? Sounds like a great event.

The park is 1000+ acres with 90+ trails that range from beginner to "you better be in a buggy". There is something there for everyone no matter your experience level. And the place dries up FAST. Last year it rained all day Wed and Thur into Fri morning. We wheeled easy and medium trails Wed and Thur. Those were challenging enough. On Fri we were able to do harder trails. By Sat morning it was just about completely dry and it was like we were at a different park. I have been there twice and plan to make another trip there prior to the Krawl. I haven't been disappointed yet.

Anyone from RLC headed to this event?

I've lived in AL most of my life and still had no idea where Tuscumbia was until i google mapped it yesterday haha. I would probably trailer my 62 down though, not sure if i trust it enough for a 5 hour journey.

There's also an event Feb 21-23 at Stony Lonsome ORV Park in Cullman, AL which isn't too much farther than Tuscumbia. I'm definitely going to try and get down to this one along with a buddy I went to school with who has a nice 40.

Any of yall thinking of going to this?

I hope so. It was very kind of you guys to make a donation to our raffle. Come on out and let us repay the kindness. :D

You have until midnight to save a few bucks on registration. So in the words of Larry the Cable Guy, "Git 'R Done"!!

Guys, let's try and do our best to support this event. I know some of y'all might have time and make it. I personally have some conflicts and can't make it thus year, but I hope some of you can make it. Great group of guys to wheel with!!

Don't forget about this event guys...

That's another event that is on me bucket list to do

Just an FYI, Mardi Krawl is a Toyota Land Cruiser Association open event held at Hawk Pride Mountain Offroad, which is a public park that is open to the public during our event. That means that anyone in any brand of 4X4 is welcome to join us! Tell your friends who do and don't drive a Toyota that they are more than welcome to register and join us for a weekend of fun. However, you may want to warn the non-Toyota owners that being around so many great rigs can be contagious. They may have the urge to sell their rig and buy a Toyota soon after Mardi Krawl.
