I called Stony and they do not have a 2014 calendar yet, but do not anticipate anything going on this weekend.
Cabins sleep 4 and can be had by reservations, and are $45/night
RV spots as well as tent spots. Got my RV spot reserved!

Stony Lonesome truly has something for EVERY level... you mall-crawl? you ready! You bounce? they got that too! Don't be afraid to bring your rig to this ride! NO EXCUSES! There are miles of dirt road that a buick could do!

Quoted for truth. When Chickenwhisperer and I went, there was a guy in a bone stock 2wd Tacoma that did some of the park.

Who is this ChickenWhisperer you speak of? He sounds awesome.

But yes there was a fella in a 2WD Taco that kept up reasonably.

And why wouldn't he? He was following a 3WD cruiser! I LOL!

Only when the chicken fella was using the Oh **** shifter in an attempt to keep it in 3 dig.

So was that hub busted when I bought it? You know one guy said the front aussie locker wasn't working, but I thought it was just in 2 dig and the front wasn't doing any work at all. Maybe the hub was f'd up then? That was the first hill that was just some loose dirt, nothing that should have broken anything I wouldn't think. Every time it broke loose I was out of the gas before anything bounced.

I dub the gold truck Tripod.

Also, in all seriousness, thanks Eric, for starting the ball rolling on getting our second annual ride'n'camp set up.

I have no idea I was just going with the 3 dig theme but it would make sense and until Eric took her to do what she's meant to do no one really knew.

Oh and on topic I should be able to cook one day/ night.

If you destroyed a tire in a hit, you could have easily destroyed a hub. It only breaks once. Keeping in mind, a broken hub is like a dead leg, it's not like a broken locker. The tire will not pull in any scenario. I knew in seconds of 4WD something on that corner was broken. Figured it was the hub.

Dirty Bitz is fixed now with regards to that, she was tripod when you had her, not with me!

I blew the passenger side one, not driver. And it really wasn't THAT hard of a hit. It was a bump, but not anything that I thought was awful.

There are a couple of those tires with some dryrot on them. I figure that probably contributed to the failure as much as the rock you hit and Eric broke the hub and is just looking for someone to blame. :D

You shut your mouth you Decatur hippie!

In all honesty, the hub may not be "broken" but just not assembled correctly, It all looks like it's there, but it would not pull AT ALL. I didn't have time to mess with with it, threw a flange on the end and started paying attention to the slush box failure...
I'm just ready to start driving this damn truck! I got to drive it ONE night since I had it... it's been either broken or on a lift waiting on tires since I've had it. I even paid as a driver at RBD. Drove it 10 minutes, out to the trail, done.

So far I have had to work every weekend an event like this is planned. this one is my LGI training. all day friday-sunday.

^^^^^^

I'm probably down if I can find a trailer to use. We've got a house on smith lake that's about 20 mins from SL. I've driven 4 wheelers around there, but only been on some of the trails

Does that mean you fixed your transmission problems? Did you try the "Party Trick"?

Yup party tricked it then took off the pan, cleaned that and the filter and refilled with new ATF and she's doing fine so far.

SWEET!
anyone with you when you did the PT?!

Haha no one was with me when I did it, but my buddy was driving behind me in my truck to make sure things didn't go south

It still scared me when I did it haha

But I think just cleaning the filter made a huge difference...it was nasty.
