I picked this up on gumtree this week anyone know who may have made this manifold. It also came with a Garrett turbo in pieces. I will post better photo's once I have it at home if that helps but from my homework I'm thinking it's maybe a Safari.

That looks like an ARB 2H Turbo manifold.

Hi guys can anyone identify this turbo charger that come with the manifold so I can buy the right kit.
edit
I just spoke to Garrett OZ and it doesn't come up on the Australian data base and they seem to think its from the USA the closes number is from a Buick.

Turbo looks like a T3. Which wouldn't be worth using unless it was basically free.

Better pic of the charger I'm dumb when comes to turbo's where would I find a new core. :)

Yeah that's a T3. Honestly I'd weigh it in for scrap.

What are the measurements of the bolt pattern on your manifold?

86x45mm with M10 bolts/studs is T3 pattern.

What's your budget for a turbo?

I'm not sure but whatever you recommend for my 2h. I have plenty of time so I will start searching for a bargain.

Why not post up some measurements of the compressor to see what it is. Divided exhaust housings are available for the t3 as well. Wheelingnoobs brother runs a .48 super 60 t3 and he really likes it. I personally think it would be more than an adequate turbo for a 2h. Too bad it's in pieces as its most likely quite damaged.

Garrett Australia put me onto a turbo mob who rebuilds there chargers and the unseen quote was $900 for a balance and bearing & seals as long as everything else is working. I will try and pick up a t3/t4 turbo to suit maybe a Schwitzer or Garrett but like I said above I know jack .... about turbo's. I would be happy to take a few measurements if you think its worth rebuilding.

The $260 USA shipping downunder is the only thing stopping hitting the buy it now button but the HMI-TDO5H is now on the agenda.
PS if you see anything that will suit please don't hesitate to PM or post.
Thanks guys

Yes they are old school turbos, but it would be a direct bolt on for his flange and maps ok last I looked. Here is a divided housing.

Can't go wrong too much with a td05h 16g. I'd go for an evo 8 which is the smallest twin scroll and has everything you want in one package and perhaps make use of your cool divided manifold. That is if it is truly divided. It would suck if it wasn't. Here's a flange you could make an adaptor with.

Gerg its a divided manifold as I had to degrease everything as what ever the black crap was on it stuck like sh.t to a blanket. I had the hose in every port cleaning it up and it's defiantly a split 3 port per side manifold.

Now that is nice. If you make use of it, your set up will spool faster and run less backpressure all things considered equal. It's no small thing. What kind of boost do you want to run. Reinforced Pistons by chance?

Don't buy yet, we're just throwing ideas around first.

It's all good as the manifold needs soaking in diesel for a few months to loosen the studs. I have some time to to look around thanks to you gentleman. :)

I like CLR which dissolves rust, but there are lots of products that do the same thing. Some times is not enough to get oil into it, you have to physically remove some rust and make some room in there. I also like a torch and a candle as the wax will chase up the threads. It's a weird trick, but has proved itself to me many times.
