I am trying to install a mechanical oil pressure gauge in my Hj60 with a 2H

I think I know what to do but I just wanted to make sure of a few things!

I unscrew the stock oil pressure sending unit on the right side of the engine find an adapter, I think it is BSPT from my searches, that will T-into it so I can hook up the line that came with my gauge up right?

so this means there is hot oil running right up to the back of my gauge?

MY other question is there anywhere else I could hook my gauge up to? the reason I ask is my truck is RHD and it's going to be really hard and really tight to get to the pressure sender!

Thanks for any help Matt

Yes, hot oil will be traveling into your cab or the location of your guage.
But correct me if I'm mistaken, but your EDIC will detect no oil pressure therefore reducing your chances of starting that 2H. You'll probably have to do some fancy wire job in order for this to work. There are ways of shutting that function off. Search it here. I'm positive someone has done that.

The low oil sensor is not the same as the sensor for the pressure gauge. AFAIK they are not connected.

you are right .. are diferent sensors .. but anycase you can bypass the signal to the EDIC easy ..

I bought a adapter that goes from 1/8 BSPT male to 1/8 NPT female but it does not fit??

I thought the sender I unscrewed from the truck was 1/8 BSPT but the adapter is too large and will not fit in the hole? usually it just slips right in :D

So what size is it???

I was so excited thinking I had the right one! :crybaby:

anyone who has done a turbo on a 2H used that hole?

what size adapter did you use?
