Has anybody done it or know of a thread posted about it?
I am thinking about a 2H into a gas 40. Now and again I find a real good running HJ60 with either auto or 5sp, but the frame and body are usually rusted to the ground (Canadian rust is free) .
I am thinking maybe I could stick one of those motors into my 40.
What would be needed to do this conversion with a 4sp and split case from another BJ6 or the original 4sp and a one piece case from an FJ40.
I am going diesel for sure , I have a 3B ,4sp and split case from a BJ60, but just trying to see other options and what it would take for the 2H conversion.
Also what would you offer for an HJ60 that is only good for such a conversin?
Any info on this subject or thread will be appreciated and TY.

Thnks for the pic,

So I take it ,the thermostat housing can be turned around to fit the uper hose to the 40 rad??
In the HJ60 the uper hose is on the opposite side comapred to the 40.
So what trany is bolted to that 12HT??

lostmarbles, thanks for the link, exactly what I was searching for.
Great...
