any one know a good sorce for a rebuild kit for a 2F??

Someone posted a link to a tractor site that had a rebuild kit listed...I'll be damned if I remember what/where that site was.

I did do a Google.com search for "2F engine rebuild kit" and came up with a number of hits. Here's a couple to get you started:

http://www.greenbaypartsworld.com/foreignenginekits.htm
http://www.cruisersolutions.com/parts.htm
http://www.hi-performance.com/imp_engine.html

This should go without saying, but make sure you find out EXACTLY what is in the rebuild kit before buying it. Different people/companies have different ideas of what a rebuild is....so be absolutely sure that the kit you buy is priced according to what is included, not priced in accordance with being labeled a "rebuild" kit.

I have heard good things about Pac Lift but have not used them. I think your best bet is to have your machine shop quote out exactly what they will provide and for how much. You cannot buy anything until the machine work is done. One thing to consider: if you buy a kit and the cam breaks after 100 miles then the machine shop will blame the part and fix it but will charge you a bunch more. If they provide the cam they will be responsible for the part. This is just an example but you get the idea.
