Tomorrow morning I get my 2F back from the machine shop. Hurricane Ike slowed down the progress, but now it's ready to pick up.

Crankshaft regrind & resized rods, 0.25mm under bearings, line bored, decked, cleaned, bored for new 0.25mm oversize pistons, new Melling camshaft, gears, oil pump, bearings, freeze plugs, seals, gaskets etc., painted and a valve job.:bounce:

It was running fine but I was losing oil pressure and it was starting to blow smoke on take off. It was getting embarrassing. It's hard to be green when driving a Cruiser, but when I blow a gray cloud into the window of the Prius next to me:whoops: it's time to get it fixed.

This motor was just rebuilt in 1986, so much for Toyota reliability...:hhmm:

Reliability depends on how it was maintained...... a rebuild is only as good as the re-builder.......

That is a classic comment. 22 years.
