285/75/16 on a 16x7" wheel??

Any issues running the 285/75/16 size on a 16x7" steel wheel? Will the big box shops (Discount tire, NTB, Sams, etc...) mount these sizes together? It's my understanding the 7" might be a little narrow.

Thought I had the perfect wheel tire combo figured out.

I have that size tire on an 8" rim. I think 7" is too narrow. Have you considered 255/75R16 for a 7" wheel instead?

I'm going with a 16x8" wheel afterall. Sticking with the 285...8" is the way to go.
