Trying to stack dimes
I've been kicking this around this week. Part of me says go with the 30s as they're not much more money than the 27s. But I don't really need the 30s for the tires I plan on running (Bobby says the 27s are fine up to 36s) and with the 27s I can use my old birfs as trail spares. Thoughts?

If you are considering the two there is no reason not to get the 30's...

And keep a birf and set of inners in your truck as spares..

30 spline, and do not look back.

Sell your trail spares to someone out here, and if you are REALLY worried about a front axle failure, purchase a spare set...that way you have the correct part to put back in there, and only need to do it once.

Longfields were re-designed recently. I think I got the first set of 27s. Here's my experience. If you decide on 27s, maybe give Bobby a call. HTH

Thanks, interesting read. I've decided to go with the 30 spline set. More than I need but hopefully I'll never have to think about them. For $70 extra over the 27 spline set (I was planning on new 4340 inners anyway) it's cheap insurance :)

My 30's are on the way
