Can any one direct me to a source to get a 24 V horn (high and low pitch) for my BJ70 or a work around. Both horns bit the bullet. Any help would be appreciated.

I ordered a couple of Stebel Nautilus air horns (mini compressor) in 24 volt. Shop has 'em wired in but I don't pick the truck up until tomorrow, but from the Youtube sample, they seemed fine.

24 volt version hard to find in North America, but I ordered through eBay Australia and then came in no time (shipping ain't cheap).

thanks for the information, very helpful. Are you installing just the single horn or two? My only question is the horn a bit thick, and will it fit in the original space between the front grill and radiator?

I figured since I was getting hosed on postage I might as well double up, purchased/installing two of them.

Plenty of room on my rig - no a/c or tranny cooler to deal with. Really pretty small when you see them in person.

PS I tried a couple of Hellas on my old FJ 62 and it/they were unimpressive.

Picked the truck up from shop yesterday. Two horns installed, that sound just like the video above. Warm, rich, loud. Sounds like an air horn, not an electric horn (honk, not beep).

Fits fine in my BJ 73, high up in front of radiator, about an inch clearance between front of horn and back or grille. Looks like plenty of room between and below for A/C, trans or intercooler radiators. Photos below without and with grille in place.

I will be swapping them out for 12 volt versions, so mine will be surplus and available.

I went with the Hella SUPERTONE Horn Kit 24V. It was as close to the OEM as I could find. They work great and louder then the original horns. Again thank you to all for your time and suggestions. Very much appreciated.
