Has anyone taken delivery of a 2023 Blackline SE yet? I have a Nori Green coming in a few weeks and no one can seem to tell me or better yet show me what this new Boulder Nuluxe interior looks like.

Apparently, according to my local Lexus dealership, that the pic in the ‘23 Blackline SE advertisement is not Boulder, but Black. In the dealership he sees a disclaimer below the pic in the link below stating "GX shown with Black Nuluxe and Linear Espresso Wood & Abyss Black interior trim"

Reference: 2023 Blackline

Looks like it's black (maybe with dark grey accents on the seat and lumbar area?) with light grey stitching and black/grey wood instead of the typical dark black/brown wood. Very sharp.

That’s the 2022 model year. In 2023 they are changing it to Boulder, which is a light gray similar to what is in a 2022 Tundra. This is new for Lexus as every dealership I talk to cannot provide a picture of the GX with this interior color. Between that and the new taillights, I am going with a 2022.

Another member just took delivery of one. You're correct. It's light gray.

Thank you for sharing. I ended up cancelling my ‘23 Nori order and bought a ‘22 Nori with 3k miles on it. Between the interior and the taillight change I prefer the ‘22 BL.

It's still kinda weird they're making changes like the black taillights. You'd think this vehicle being near EOL they'd stop doing stuff.

Color changes are the easy part, that's just a material change or adding a tint to the existing material when molding. It's when they're changing/modifying molds, that wouldn't make sense.
Still, I agree with you. Why??? Will it really make someone want to purchase one over the other because of the color of the tail lights? Maybe only a couple of sales may it affect.

I was hopeful the ‘22 Nori was going to be one and done. Although, now that the ‘23 is out with boulder interior, I’m ok with the extension. I’ve only seen one other Nori in the wild. My local dealership had 3 (including mine) from the time I ordered until arrival. The other two went out of state.

There are about 6 in Atlanta. The 23s are all over down here. Glad we got a 22.

Wish I could afford a new Nori green AND do my entire build on that...
But I'm happy with what I have. Shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.

I've thought about that! Swap all my parts over including the diffs! Major PITA though!!

I went the opposite direction. Abandoned a well- optioned TRD Pro 4Runner for the GX. I just found myself not pushing the capability enough to justify, so I’m focusing this build on light duty adventure and family trips. I’ve only swapped interior LEDs, reverse lights, 3rd row delete, and AT tires stock size +1. I need a roof solution that maintains the OEM rails, but really everything else has been great.

My nori is likely to get a mild 1-2" lift and sliders and skid and moderate (hidden) armor in several years. It is great for what it does for us. The city DD and road tripper. We have BIG 470s to go play with or go remote with the trailer for indefinite times haha.

In person, the gray is darker than you think. I was worried it would be a very light gray, but I’m pleased to announce it’s much darker in person than the photos. I really like the contrast to the black interior as so many interiors are all black which I think looks common and boring. In this pic below, the color is several shades darker than depicted. Either way, the contrast is a welcome addition to the all to common black interiors.

How do these respond to a lift? I’m worried about losing the plush ride for a little extra clearance, probably similar mild 1-2”. My TRD Pro drove pretty well on the highway. I added the FOX TRD Pro lift from Westcott in the front and Eibach rear springs. It was great off road, but a little stiffer than I’d prefer in a daily. After years of lowered Audi’s, I’m over feeling every bump in the road.

Just like every other GX. The lift quality determines the ride quality. My offroad monster GX is more plush than my 22 lol.

My wife and I really like the sepia light interior of our because of the summer heat. We're never burning our legs on the seats when we're wearing shorts.

We live in GA and the first thing we get is a the darkest legal tint with the highest % UV ceramic installed. Game changer!

I've thought about tint's before but two main reasons for not wanting them:
  1. In CA, to the letter of the law (albeit, not often enforced), one is not allowed front side windows tint of any kind or percentage. And even if the police don't enforce it, it is always an excuse to pull you over for something stupid.
  2. My wife and I REALLY love the view in natural colors, not dimmed or muted by tint when we're traveling, especially in very scenic areas, like high mountains, sweeping vistas, full horizon ocean views. To see the blues, greens, tans, browns, oranges, etc., all this beauty un-tinted, just takes our breath away.
But again, that's just us.

Then don't live in Cali and get out of the vehicle more :P
