One last option would be to have one fabricated and bolted/welded to your frame. Those types of projects usually come out over engineered and could probably tow the Queen Mary when done.
That's exactly what I was suggesting on the "Lexus Owners" forum. It's not at all that big of a deal. You can also use the unavailable hitch as a bargaining tool when purchasing a new GX.

You won’t be using the lack of a hitch as a bargaining tool for probably 2+ years.

If you don’t buy it someone else will for MSRP+ within a day or two.

Not here locally. GX is not a popular selling model. The 4 Runner yes. GX no. Average consumer cost for a premium GX460 (at 59,000.00 MSRP) is just over 56,000.00. If you wait until the end of the month you can get closer the the 54,000.00 invoice pricing.

I will say getting below invoice is going to be a challenge if not able to do at all.

Yeah, he’s definitely the exception to the rule as even in Nebraska that’s not the case nowadays. A couple of years ago sure…but not now.

Found this on GXOR Marketplace on FB.........$50. Has a little rust but it's $50........

Most all dealers in Southern CA. Of course there are a few that won't budge. My wife and I are waiting for about another year or so to get closer to invoice. Right now the best you can hope for is around 7% below MSRP. And that is for the odd colors such as red interior.

Not to mention the new Sequoia is coming out. We will be looking hard and test driving both the GX and Sequoia. Still there is not much competition for the GX in terms of comfort/reliability/capability.

The hitch is a huge bargaining tool for at least another 500 bucks off.

Huge size difference between the GX and a Sequoia! I think they're even a little longer than a Landcruiser. I know the older Sequoia's were longer than the same year Landcruisers in the early '90's I meant early 2000's.
Also, and this is just referring to the older Sequoia's, their build wasn't as robust as LC's, which the LC's are more akin to the GX's as far as build quality.
