Wife picked us a new GX last night and we're looking to add a hitch. I can't find a part # for the '22. Can anyone confirm if PT228-60140 will work on the 2022 GX.

Thanks. I didn't ask about PT228-60140 but when I called the dealer they said there was a design flaw for the 2022 hitch so they are no longer selling them until a revised design is released (no eta).

I assume it's the correct part # but there is an issue with the part itself. Will contact Lexus aftermarket sales and see what i can find out.

We probably would still have bought the truck but Lexus should indicate on their website that the hitch is temporarily unavailable. What’s the point of advertising the towing capacity if you can’t get a hitch.
I’ll probably wind up doing that until I can get the Lexus hitch. I bought the GX for the increased towing capacity so I want the Class IV hitch.
I’ve been waiting for over a week now for my Lexus case worker to get back to me. I called again yesterday and was told I’d hear from her yesterday…nope.
Lexus is dropping the ball big time on this hitch debacle. As a first time Lexus owner it’s rather disappointing honestly.

I have an OEM hitch that I will no longer need after Wednesday. It’s coming off a 2022.

Is your location in Dallas, TX correct? If you can get me dimensions/weight I can check shipping but I assume it will be cost prohibitive.
My location is Dallas, I will have to check the rates. Only thing that wont be included is the wiring harness as I still plan to use that. Let me get you a quote tomorrow.

My case worker finally called me today. She told me that she is unaware of a stop sale and has a call into the dealer to find out more. I asked if she would send me an email informing me that Lexus Customer Care is not aware of a stop sale and she refused. She stated that Lexus will not communicate anything about my case in an email. Then I asked if she would email me that it is Lexus policy to not email details about a case and she refused again.
WTF. Do Lexus owners really let Lexus get away with this? Honestly the hitch can wait but the BS communication has really iterated me. Knowing what I know now I probably would have bought a different truck.
I just got back from Michigan last night. I will send pictures of the hitch later tonight for you if you're still interested.
