Previously I posted a thread for 2021 G have a look for more base model pictures

Better than the j80 most Americans don't know about LC200 base model manual transmission - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/better-than-the-j80-most-americans-dont-know-about-lc200-base-model-manual-transmission.1303281/

This a comparison between two models of LC200 the first one is fully loaded with leather seats lots of features and V8

While the other is a base model 4.0 V6 with manual transmission

What is your opinion and what you will choose if you have a chance

I drive a V8 so for me the choice is easy. I also love my split tailgate and I'm not fan of swung rear doors.

But V6 might be a wise choice where you live depending on gas prices.

If you live in a dry place the swing doors might be better for ease of operation and access.

Gas prices? Do you mean cooking gas prices?
Yes I'm living in dry hot place

Thanks for your opinion

v8 and split tailgate.... :)

If the base model didn't have that silly split swing gate it would be my choice. I prefer the looks of the stripped down model and the manual transmission is a plus. That said, the 4.Slow isn't that fun in a 4Runner so I am sure it's even less fun in a 5700lb Land Cruiser.

I'd jump on the 5.7 and split tailgate with gasoline costing what it does in your part of the world. Without ragrats.

This would be a hard trade for us to provide a proper perspective on. On the one hand the base is a lightweight stripper purist model that could be pretty fun it its own right. And then the VXS, which is an LC that's closer to LX USDM spec, and cooler than both. Both unobtanium for us in the states.

Probably a huge price gap between the two?
