I just picked up a 2021 Land Cruiser. Coming from the VW/Audi world, I'm used to driving with convex/aspherical/blind spot mirrors. No matter how I adjusted the driver's side mirror on the Land Cruiser, I still ended up with a small blind spot. I ordered this part number # 87961-60R20 to replace the driver's side (Left Hand) mirror. That part number is for a heated/blind spot monitor/convex drivers mirror.

The top picture is the new mirror.

I think it's the RHD part number, but I'm not sure it's limited to RHD. I think everyone else in the world, aside from North America, uses convex mirrors on both sides of the vehicle. That part number shows up on several Russian part sites. Perhaps someone from Russia or Europe can confirm what type of mirrors they have.

Great idea. This has been a constant complaint on my 100 and 200. Having. A factor part with heat is a real bonus.

Any pointers to a P/N. I’m guessing the FSM details the swap.

This is the part number: 87961-60R20. There are several places to order it from. I used Megazip. 87961-60R20 - Mirror Outer, Lh, Toyota OEM | Megazip.net - https://www.megazip.net/zapchasti-dlya/toyota/mirror-outer-lh-8796160R20. I spent hours looking at Toyota parts sites to find the correct part number.

The swap took about 10 minutes. To remove the mirror, I used painter's tape on the mirror and mirror housing. I tilted the mirror upward, then used a trim removal tool to pull it out from the bottom.

It's covered in the factory service manual.

I'm guessing you lose the amber BSM visual alert by doing this? Oh never mind I see it says "blind spot monitor".

to @vtshack comment about RHD - think OP's link for the part shows mostly LHD positions outside the US with the exception of Japan Sales regions which are naturally RHD. It shows this is compatible with 2015 in some of the cases, but I dont have BSM on my 2015 (wish I did!) When did BSM come into the 200?

I wonder if 1) this will work on US 2015 2) if I use this, does the BSM gap show through the mirror?

I'm pretty sure they make a convex left side mirror without BSM. The BSM made the mirror cost quite a bit more. I think BSM started with 2016+ 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser: A Luxurious Bridge Between Civilization and Adventure - Toyota USA Newsroom - https://pressroom.toyota.com/2016-toyota-land-cruiser-debut/

I think (I could be wrong) this is the correct part number for 2015 --> 87961-60B70.

Nice find, but ouch to that price.

Let us know how it goes, this mod is still on my list!

Just ordered mine for my 2021.
FedEx Priority was a very reasonable $28.
10% off coupon (SMR10) brought the grand total to $269.

Yes, a lot of money for a mirror, but a whole lot of "bang-for-the-buck"; improving the driving experience on a vehicle that I plan to keep for a LONG time!

BTW, I also have 2 75 series Troopies from Europe and they both have convex driver's side mirrors. I love them!

That non-BSM convex mirror part number is correct.

Right (US Pass): 87931-60B70
Left (US Driver): 87961-60B70

I just installed my left hand convex mirror today based on those part numbers.
