Hello all, my first post here on the forum! I am shopping around for a 2020 200 Series and there's one question that the answer to appears to be impossible to find.. Toyota lists the Land Cruiser 200 height as 74 inches and I know it is higher than that with the factory rails. My garage is about 76.5-77 inches high and I am trying to find out if a stock 200 will fit or just barely. Can anyone help me out?

Since the factory rails are STANDARD, i would imagine that 74" includes it.

The measurement in the post above does include the rack.

Russian spec model with KDSS suspension.

I have a 2020 HE pure stock except I took off the basket. The factory cross bar on the normal factory rack is 77.75 at it's tallest point. It is bowed making the center the highest point. Now remember, the HE sits a little taller in the rear because it does not have the 3rd row seats.

Well fiddlesticks. I have a 2020 HE on order and thought that the 74 was to the top of the bars. Which basically would mean that it is the same factory height as my GX (Lexus lists as 74.2" tall), which clears my garage with Yakima bars and 2 large rocket boxes. I wanted to bump up an inch in lift on the LC and 285/65/R18s, or about 1.5" over stock. But if the top of the bars on the LC are actually 77.75" there's no room left to go up over stock. I will measure my GX tonight to see what the actual height is to the top of the stock rails. Maybe Lexus is also only measuring to the roof and not the rails. It's really misleading that the 74 Toyota lists doesn't actually include the stock rails.

I too have a 2020 HE with the basket removed. Fuel gauge reads 3/4 full, and I measured on passenger side. Not sure all that matters much, but...

I put a level along the roof rails to find the high part, then used the same level set perpendicular to the rail to determine height. I got 77-1/4" at the tallest place.

Probably within normal height tolerances given how LCs tend to lean and rake.

Well of course Lexus measures to the top of stock rails and Toyota doesn't. LC will not fit in the garage with Yakima bars for 2 boxes on top. Double fiddlesticks.

I also have a 77" garage and a stock 200 on 32.6 inch tires just barely fits. Plant to shave the rack and antenna in pursuit of a little more suspension and tire.

Ah yes I didnt take the lack of 3rd row seats into consideration, I'm also looking for a Heritage Edition. Might just fit with the removal of the cross bars when they are not in need.

Are the tires stock? I thought the stock ones were at around 31.6 inches from what I have read

No, they're the Blizzak DM V2s I had mounted on the way home from the dealer. Slightly larger diameter, slightly narrower width. Maybe put 10 miles on the garbage stock rubber.

Hi All, first post. Hope I’m doing this right. I just purchased a 2021 Land Cruiser Heritage Edition w/cargo basket. I’m in the same dilemma figuring out height w/basket. I’ve read all these replies and am still just as confused. My Heritage does have a 3rd row seat too which seems like it affects height. My garage door opening is 82” Think I’ll just barely be okay?

Scrap that Yakima rack and you'll have plenty of room with factory roof rack. If you need a versitle rack, then install a ARB BASERACK. Rack is about 5" high off the side rail gutter. I have an 84" high opening (standard sectional door height) and have around 3" of clearance between rack and door header. No way it would have fit with the factory rails and the Yakima rack.

Let’s hope I’m replying in the correct spot. I like your new rack. I guess I should say I bought this LC for my wife and she likes it as is. Doesn’t want me upgrading it like my Tundra and Tacoma. If the Yakima rack will not fit, guess it’s time to buy another house. Lol. I was hoping it might squeeze through the garage door opening if anything.

I got you... here ya go. Done right, this removes all sorts of limitations!

I won’t buy a house unless it has a minimum garage door opening of 94” and 12’ ceilings for hanging gear. The garage is just as important to me as the kitchen and master bath are to my wife. We passed on a home with killer views because the garage wouldn’t fit the 200 as lifted.

On a similar conundrum here. Just bought a HE with the basket, but could not find anywhere in the forum the total height - including the basket. I do not plan to remove it, at least for now. My garage door is 8feet tall, so I think I should be ok, but that basket is pretty fat. Anyone?
