Anyone installed this into your 2018 Lexus LX?
How is the fit? Are there gaps in the tray?

I wasn't aware. Costco website gave me this 24F when I put in the 2018 Lexus lxWhy choose a Group 24 when a 27F is the correct battery?
Ah, yeah. I believe the 24 is a similar height so the clamp will technically hold it down, but a 24 is significantly shorter in length than a 27, and that reduced volume ultimately means less reserve capacity.I wasn't aware. Costco website gave me this 24F when I put in the 2018 Lexus lx
Thanks for the F notation commentAh, yeah. I believe the 24 is a similar height so the clamp will technically hold it down, but a 24 is significantly shorter in length than a 27, and that reduced volume ultimately means less reserve capacity.
Hold out for a Group 27F it at all possible. And for the record the F denotes inverted battery post terminals. A regular 27 will have the +/- in the wrong positions.
I’m not surprised the Cracker Jack team at Costco tire and battery managed to screw this up too. Check interstate’s website. It’ll reflect the correct battery group.I wasn't aware. Costco website gave me this 24F when I put in the 2018 Lexus lx

They didn't screw anything up, the 24F is an alternate group size for the 200.I’m not surprised the Cracker Jack team at Costco tire and battery managed to screw this up too. Check interstate’s website. It’ll reflect the correct battery group.
Cool. You running a 24f?They didn't screw anything up, the 24F is an alternate group size for the 200.
How is the fit with the MTP-27F into the existing battery space? Also what year and model you're putting into? ThanksI’m using an interstate MTP-27F in mine with great results. Have also had MTP series batteries in two other vehicles without issue.
I understand their marketing will push you toward an MTX-24 as “better” but that isn’t necessarily true.
Kindof the same story with AGM over FLA.. IMO a waste of money for most people.
Toyota felt it necessary to spec a 27 despite the increased weight and cost, so that’s what I’m sticking with.

In any small scale, I'd agree and wouldn't even respond from a logic standpoint. However, a LOT of the Costco Interstate branded batteries I saw last time I was in my local tire/battery center apparently are Korean in origin. I can't make it make sense aside from the battery manufacturer there getting HUGE subsidies from the Korean gov.Perfect fit, like any true 27F will be. 2013 cruiser, but all US 200-series LC and LX from 08-22 will be the same.
For the record, your vehicle came with a Japanese-made Panasonic Group 27F that is arguably a superior battery to anything available in the US. People have tried to source them over here but no one has worked that out. Turns out shipping lead across the pacific isn’t very cost effective.
I used to love b+ and this battery in particular. I had one of their mid tier batteries (duracell) go bad within the 2 yr warranty period on my wife's car. BLUF: they refused to honor the battery warranty replacement despite the battery testing bad at autozone/advance/oreilley's. B+ said they'd need to keep the battery and try to trickle charge it over a couple days to see if it held a charge before replacement. Unacceptable IMO.Here's what I bought:

Available at Batteries Plus stores. And since it is the recommended size, fit is perfect in any LC200/LX570 with the 3UR-FE 5.7L petrol engine.
HTH
Noted. I still have my original OEM battery from 2018. I didn't know the toughness of the OEM battery. I'd figure 7 years is stretching it in terms in longevity. Appreciate your input.Perfect fit, like any true 27F will be. 2013 cruiser, but all US 200-series LC and LX from 08-22 will be the same.
