Looking routinely fantastic. Whats the capacity of the fuel tank? With the FTE and H152 I'd expect in the range if 20mpg+ so likely to have a huge range

Where we did the chop and extension.
Front radius arms were moved forward about an inch.
Custom mounts we built for the 100 LRA subtank.

Cleaning, scraping, washing, scuffing and sanding. I don’t think I mentioned it before but we are not taking this frame to bare metal. This is a nice Southern California frame and where we have not disturbed the factory paint it is good. After just the right amount of prep we will spray the frame.

So when we were checking everything a week or two ago under full compression we decided to move front shock towers. This to get the shock right where we want them at ride height as far as useable shock shaft up and down.
So we chopped them off the frame and moved them down 2”.
Only had about a 1/4” of clearance steering column to shock tower when we mocked it up. So we notched the tower to give just a little more clearance.

The frame is in the paint booth. We are doing 2k epoxy primer on it, a scuff after and then our chassis black.
We just about have the housings prepped. We usually get these sand blasted but the blaster is 2+ weeks out and we don’t want to wait. Nice SoCal housings so not much rust.
After this we have to prep a big load or two of chassis parts. Most of it is new so we just need to scuff and tape it all before paint.

When you go to lock the doors. Be sure to have your thumb pressing against the key barrel on the doors.
If you push against the body while trying to hold the handle up. It will gouge the door and you will have dents. the doors on the 70 series are thin.
On my 73, It drove me crazy, I repaired the door because of it.
