Hey all,

Can any of you who purchased the new 2016's verify if the 3rd row stow away seats came with the center headrest? My dealer is telling me it doesn't and has to be ordered. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Most dealers don't even know that they come zippered into the back of the seat. Check there.

Dealer is lying and/or ignorant. Chances are it's in the same place as our 08, drivers side 3rd row seat back zipperred pouch.

Yes, I can confirm that in my 2016 LC the center headrest for the 3rd row was inside the 3rd row seat (back of the seat, open the zipper as stated by others).

You're not stupid. It's kind of a weird place to look... There was a guy who once said the dealer was ordering him one...only to later discover it was in the seat back.

The fault lies with the dealer not doing a professional delivery for you. If they truly bought into all the lip service they give about customer service, someone in the dealership, weather it be the salesman or a designated delivery person would have completely demonstrated all the features of the vehicle you purchased.

It's no biggie. It was late. Only thing that kind of bothers me is that when I called back to ask, the manager is the one who told me that Toyota didn't provide it. I actually had to order one. I think he needs to know the cars he's selling....

That is a classic example of how people (often at dealerships...) will lie to you without batting an eye. The manager clearly had no clue and was too lazy to find out the answer for you. Does anyone really accept the premise that Toyota--on their $80k flagship off road vehicle--makes consumers order a headrest for one of the seats?

You should ask him why he lied about it, and mention that they've been in the same spot on new LC's for about 8 years.

Sorry for the rant, but no matter what you do for a living, take some damned pride in your job!

I have a spare headrest in gray if anyone needs one It was from the PO, thankfully he paid the penalty on that and not me.

I was fixing to order one until I found this forum posting. Got home and sure enough there it was. All this after they told me “The vehicle did not come with one, and I would have to order one”

A bit unrelated, but kind of the same...

Is anyone doing anything with the second row middle headrest? I have it removed because it blocks about the entirety of my rear view. Is there a special storage spot for it? I've got it sitting on my side table here in my office...
