I've been watching Victory 4x4 for a pet/cargo barrier that @brimy311 gave us a sneak preview of and ran across a new offering for rear seat screen delete that they are offering.

They are steel as opposed to the plastic ones Trekboxx offers.

Full disclosure, I have the Trekboxx ones and am perfectly happy with them. It is nice to see that people have another option for solving this problem.

I wish this was around earlier. It's more than half the cost of the other option.

I like that center console MOLLE panel they have on there with the banana holder.

I wonder what the 3 holes in the screen delete panels are for? Looks odd.

Are the three cutouts on the front designed to mount anything in particular?

Nothing in particular, but they would fit RAM ball mounts and the like.

I would not hesitate on that. I bought the other option which was $199 because it's all there was. This is cheaper, metal, and slimmer with some mounts on it. It's literally better in every way.

Also, regarding rear screens, I sold both, one for $1299 and one for $1099. Paid for a handful of mods. Anyone who removes them is unlikely to ever re-install.

I had no idea there would be any value of the screens, where did you end up selling them?

Ebay.

Toyota wanted $4500 for a replacement so I checked online, and sure enough, people sold broken ones for $500 and good ones for $1500. I stuck them out there, figuring no way....but also thinking about how uncommon they would be if someone was using them and one broke. About a week went by and a LX570 owner needed one that he broke when he placed the carseat against it.

Then, the other one was bought from a Toyota Dealership somewhere, probably to replace a broken screen for a customer who didn't want to buy a new one at $4500. THat one took about 3 weeks to sell.

**NOTE** Make sure to put insurance on them! I sent the first one off and USPS lost it, I was panicked and the buyer probably thought I was scamming him. Thankfully, they sorted it out....

One of my screens is currently broken. Came that way when I bought my 2016. I had seen where Lexus had quoted over $7K for a replacement and it was declined. At this point the car seat can't make it any worse. Folding the seats forward seems like a hazard to the screens as well.
I'm thinking about just getting these plates and selling my one good screen and the broken screen. Seems more useful to mount an ipad to the delete panel.

I sold mine to another member that needed them for a fraction of what ebay would have brought. Seemed like the mud neighborly thing to do.

Me too. Fellow mud members bought mine for a couple hundred each. Paid for iPads to mount there instead. Win-win.

That's what I'm thinking now that I did some research and saw them being sold on the forum, which I hadn't considered because it seems as though most dislike them. If it covered the delete and a couple tanks of gas into the mountains I would not be mad.

Truthfully wasn't on Mud at the time, and it's great you can help the others on the forum. For example, I enjoy teaching others to wrench on their own stuff, and bringing new people into the hobby is payment enough.

But regarding mods, I have a very tight budget with finances, so when I sold one, I was genuinely shocked, but if I could buy mods....I'm buying mods :)

That it was charlie and I still thank you! Kiddos are enjoying going back in time with DVDs and I'm staying sane. Something about not giving them all the options to watch something else like they have with their ipads. Will delete eventually when the kids realize how terrible the picture is on these and go with these plates as well.
