Hi Fellas,
Is there anyone out there that can tell me how to remove the steering wheel on a 2016-17 200 series? it is different to the 2008-2015 models.

If anyone has a link to a diagram or could step me through it, it would be much appreciated

Cheers

Mark

Most Toyotas have been the same that I've dealt with. There should be two covers on either side of the wheel, usually on the wheel itself. Inside there are usually two T30 Torx fasteners. From there the air bag should slide off, then move the connectors for the wheel controls and airbag. From there it should be just one big nut in the center to remove. Be careful not to damage the clock spring. And before doing anything, remember this step in the WSM:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

Lol, if I removed the steering wheel, the airbag would go off. Wish I had in-depth mechanic skills to work on these newer SUVs.

Hi, that is the way I thought you did it too but after 2015 they have changed it. The two torx screws have been removed. If I could get the airbag off, I'd be right
