ATTENTION: It looks like we will have a food trailer set up on site doing breakfast and lunch for Friday and Saturday. Sunday breakfast as well. Just wanted to clue y'all in so you won't pack a bunch of food if you chose to go that route. Prices are reasonable if not cheap!

WE MADE IT TO NC ! Thank you everyone for your support and help. I am having the Best time of my life here with Jordan and Wyatt, Plan is to relax here til Monday or Tuesday then make my way to Hot Springs. Time to go hold that Grandbaby

You are a beast! Glad the truck is running good. Get yourself to superlift Wed and we'll take you to dinner.

Quick update on my end---Truck is running like a sewing machine so far! Top speed we pushed her to 87MPH:steer: (According to GPS and a quite accurate Speedo). Down a long grade with the wind at our back Tony really put together a great package---Hope your watching-Thanks man:bounce::bounce2::bounce:. I know he misses her.

We had a crazy headwind that buffeted us for hours leaving L.A.--- That first tank of gas we got 10mpg$$$, not so good. Quick side trip through RedRock Canyon to show Lucy the Bickel Camp. Back on the Road -Next stop Darwin Ca. (Interesting place), Left there and stayed the night at Panamont Springs Death Valley They have Great Beer-Drank some Firestone with a funny name (Hefen-Sumthing) on Draft. Washed all the dirt out our throats that came in the windshield vents. We were very Lucky to have made our reservations long before the Gov. shut down(Thanks Mark ), lets just say there were a whole lot of tourists looking for a place to stay because ALL Capgrounds in all the National Parks are closed--- The Basturds even locked the Composting Toilets---You should have seen the look on all the desperate Fer-en-ers (Not Good) We saw people from a large group on a tour knocking on an RVers door begging for some porcelin:eek: . Many Roads were closed and we missed many of the sites we wanted to visit because of Our Gov. Jerks! Left there and traveled thru Vegas(No desire to stop---Been There Done Dat!) Although that huge Billboard with Brittney All Eyes On Us Spears was calling my name LOL:p:p:p Drove Interstate 15 to Utah 9 on to Zion N.P. Since we knew the Park was not user friendly we found a cool side trip to a Ghost Town called Grafton right before the Park entrance--- Awesome! On the way in we saw a cruiser parked at a home before the old iron bridge--Anyone know whos house tis might have been??? We slowed down both times we passed hoping someone would spot us. The 40 was built up and looking good. There was a Beware of Dog sign on the gate so we didn't go knock on the door.
Drove on through Zion as the Sun was sinking low---Awesome!!!
Stayed the night at the Thunderbird. And the Manager helped plan Todays Hiking Trip through a Slot Canyon called Willis Creek. He also recommended Camping tonight at Toroweap Overlook on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Dis Should be Quite cool!( Got Down to about 36 degrees--70 during the Day and DRY!DRY!DRY!) I heard its a 3000ft straight drop to the Mighty Colorado River

Gentlemen,
Not sure who to Adress this too but I figured this thread would be the best place for Information on SCC.
I would love to attend this event but because I just arrived to the states a few days ago from yet another deployment I have not registered. Is it possible to register at the event? Is it too late to try to find a spot to camp within the park? I realize that being this late in the game trying to register sucks for u guys but I stopped registering for events a few years ago because I never know my schedule.
I would like to attend ur event in my fj40 but I am not sure if I can get the maintenance done on it from sitting in storage for a while. Is it possible to just show up to the event in my truck ( don't plan on wheeling my truck)?

Thanks,

the answer to all your ?? is yes

bring the 40

bring the truck

bring thy self

no camp spots left but sure can find space if nottin else can put a nail in a tree

can resister & settle up with the park when ya get there

bring it on!

C U in a few

Heck bring the 40 and do the work there. You'll have plenty of help I'm sure. If Marlin shows up he'll rebuild the whole truck while you sit there.

Thanks for the quick response gentlemen.
I just got approval from household 6 so as of now I am planning to ride to the event Thursday and be there Friday in the am. Hopefully I can take care of all the maintenance on the 40 and get to drive it to my first cruiser event. Look forward to meeting and hanging out with other cruiser heads.
