2013 LC buying help (1 Viewer)

Good day,

I’ve recently joined the forum and I’m hoping this is the right place to look for help regarding this topic (browsed the guide before doing so).

I’ve ran into an ad in Norway where I’m currently living and just had some questions regarding what they mentioned. The car is a 2013 LC 200 V8 diesel and they mentioned it’s a Facelift. Since I don’t know much about LCs I’m a bit at a loss if any of the stuff is correct or if there’s something sketchy going on. The car has 272k km and looks generally pretty good to my eyes.

One thing that jumped to my attention was the GR badge on the grill (which I can’t find anything about online nor can I find any other 2013 model with it).

Facelift in this case looks to be a 300 series body kit installed on a 200 series. Looks like someone went full ret@rd on the “customization.” It’s (thankfully) not a huge thing in the US. But you guys get the diesel variant so there’s that. Imo body kits are seldom worthwhile and usually cheapen the vehicle as you narrow the buyer pool to those who want the looks of one thing, but performance of another. My opinion is to pass on this one and continue your search.

I actually don’t mind the look of it but I’m guessing it’ll be hard to pin down who did it or when it was done and what else they could’ve done to the car?

I’ll continue my search for a V8 without any funny stuff on it

I gotta ask, is your Mud handle inspired from the movie or is that just a coincidence that @gasman4u seized on? I can't recall any Mud post that made me laugh so hard.

It is indeed inspired by the movie been using it on and off in other forums as well!
