The amplifier doesn't send a full range signal, as in its designed to not be full range. There is no way around that other than ripping whole system out.Why am I not getting a full-range signal.

Ahh makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up.The amplifier doesn't send a full range signal, as in its designed to not be full range. There is no way around that other than ripping whole system out.
For me, i enjoy the JBL system quite a bit.Impedance (ohms) is only part of the story. Yes similar ohms will be “safe” and not cook the amplifier, but as @lx200inAR stated above sensitivity is a very important indicator of how much sound a speaker will make for a given amplifier output level. And even that spec may (usually does) change with the frequency the speaker is driven at.
To get aftermarket speakers to approximate the stock output levels you’d need to match impedance and sensitivity. And even then the tuning can be very different.
A full aftermarket system might fix this, but in my experience it is very rare for an aftermarket system to be as harmonically balanced and tuned for the individual vehicle as a good stock system. It is very easy to make it louder.. and for some people this is all they want. But for it to sound “good”.. whole different thing. That is the whole point of the ML system in the LX.. yes, a lot of power, but very very careful speaker selection, placement, tuning, and equalization.. in part to cancel out the reality that this is installed into a metal and glass can with some leather seats, not a sound studio. The JBL system isn’t as well developed, but it is a whole lot further along than what the vast majority of audio shops can do.
This.
A critical part of tuning a sound system is sending appropriate frequencies to each driver. A woofer should not receive high frequencies and a tweeter cannot receive low frequencies from an amplifier. Why am I not getting a full-range signal.
I don’t think that Dolby Atmos setting on iPhone works on LC’s audio system via BT. I don’t think that Dolby will work on just any BT connected device. It only works with Apple’s headphones with spatial audio capability via chip.On mine all the stars and planets need to be aligned a certain way, temperature and humidity needs to be within a certain range, truck needs to be at the correct angle and speed for it to sound good.
When all is aligned right it sounds pretty pretty pretty pretty good.
Best sounding song so far in my 200 is Post Malone's WOW using Bluetooth and Dolby Atmos set to Always On on the iPhone, all levels all the way right, VOL 45, DSP ON if I'm feeling crazy.

I have the Levinson in my 04 LX470 and I love it.For me, i enjoy the JBL system quite a bit.
Yes, Mark Levinson in Lexus is da bomb. Center channel is a combo of 3.5” woofer and tweeter…as are the surround speakers in cargo…LC lacks tweeter at these locations. In addition, i believe that it has 6x9 woofers for mid bass in the 2nd row rear doors…3 speakers in LX rear door vs. 2 in LC.
Add to that a cleaner amp with more wattage. Someone needs to do a full transplant to LC!![]()
Can you explain the pro's and cons to me about DSP and when and when not use it?VOL 45, DSP ON if I'm feeling crazy.
Exactly. I found music much better without DSP enabled. But when feeling crazy..not really for music, more from the DVD system.
How is it for DVD when most LC / LX don’t have DVD player? Lexus LS or Toyota Avalon have DSP also…and they have no DVD player.Digital Sound Processing, does some surround sound fakery.
Use it when you want your audio to sound like it's coming from where it shouldn't be coming from, not really for music, more from the DVD system.
My 2013 LC has a DVD player. How is it for DVD when most LC / LX don’t have DVD player?
Wow…i stand corrected. Damn, Toyota took that away from me?!My 2013 LC has a DVD player.
Not that I’m disagreeing with your assessment that the “surround” system is different than home theater. But it is absolutely a dvd player in the dash.
Are you sure? I am almost certain that my former '13 LC had a dvd player (never used it, but used the slot for a phone mount).Wow…i stand corrected. Damn, Toyota took that away from me?!![]()
My 2019 LC has CD player…can it play DVD??Are you sure? I am almost certain that my former '13 LC had a dvd player (never used it, but used the slot for a phone mount).
2019 can play DVD, put in park and set parking brake, slide in DVD? No?My 2019 LC has CD player…can it play DVD??
Can your 2016 LC play DVD ?
