That was your bro Aric?? I should have recognized but as noted, your dawg looked more like you than your brother.
Something about the beard. by the way, nice runner you assembled.
JSC... great job on the event! I loved the expedited drivers meeting... nice and short. Thanks for letting Jeff and I take the lead... it was very refreshing to not have to worry about any thing, any one, any issues, any dust , any... thing at all except getting to camp in one piece. Record time for us.
Garrett and Travis... thanks for the frosty beverages, and all the other good stuff you levied upon us!
Kief... excellent job on the shirt design... and I have to admit, I really liked the slogan.
Sue... thanks for the back and neck massage! Always great hanging with you at Sourdough.
Pighead... now known at McGrew as either... That guy who'se truck went to O'Brien without him... or LuckyPig!
Great Raffle! Much better than prior years... and I actually got to have tickets and win something!
the Pot luck was fantastic again! I cannot believe how full I was. Those freaking poppers were hot!
The after party started slow but certainly was roaring around 10 and 11... when those horse shoes came out. What the heck is in that Yaegermeister stuff?? UFDA.
it was hot. In case anyone was wondering, it was pretty dang hot at Sourdough by 1 PM on Sat. We headed to the swimming hole (Shanghra la) and Jeff and I both noted the water and swimming was the best it has ever been. The late winter season was still very evident on McGrew... River was clear to the bottom, springs were still running, Azalea's were just finishing their bloom, and the thimble berries were just about ready to take off!
Great to see all our old McGrew friends, including Sean who has not attended since the 1st McGrew ride (and by the way Sean, you need an XL shirt my friend, that Medium looked tight). Great to meet new folks! Sorry if I forgot your name but it happens all the time. Good folks, good event, Good trail ride.
Thanks to everyone who either coordinated, worked, and attended. This event is truly what TLCA is all about. Friends sharing our passion together.
And of course, thanks Jeff for letting me ride along again and enjoy your version of Spartan camping. Thank gosh everyone else took good care of us. Very appreciative... arrived home right on schedule at 5:30.
One thing consistent about McGrew... it's never long enough!
