Dang, I was thinking 80's were invincible..

Sue, Pighead, my apologies for not checking up on your status. I was less than prepared and got a bit frazzled in the heat Sunday. I knew that Sue had mentioned that she had issues but spaced it when dealing my own issues- kids, dog, packing, leaking fuel, discharged battery and high temps. Again, my apology for not being more thoughtful!
Thanks PH for your help, I hope I didn't seem unappreciative- I was mad that I noticed the leak earlier it but didn't pay any attention to it. J, thanks for your help too.
This has shown me that preparation is important and I've gotten a little slack..

Thanks for letting a McGrew n00b and his kid (in a Lexus, no less) tag along. We had a terrific time. Many thanks to the JSC and all who contributed to a great event!

If you need help, give me a call. You still have my number, yes?

Nope, Ammo made the call, kept the piece of paper. PM sent instead.

Another spectacular McGrew Trail Ride! Thanks to everyone involved. It was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Can't wait until next year! :)

Finally got to a keyboard after the run. Gotta say ... JSC hit a home run! It was a great run and I really enjoyed the relax time. But ... I ate way too much good food.

The only negative to whole thing was how crappy I drove the last sluice. Tony and I were out there all alone the whole time (our goal :D) & everything was going fine ... then I failed big on hitting the right lines at the very end. I must have just lost concentration. Got a boulder trapped between front & rear axle that took a good couple of minutes to clear ... just sucked big

Anyway ... I digress ... Completely looking forward to next year already

mcgrew

I know that bigger is more fun, but I have a stock fj62 and a stock 40. Can they clear the trail out there, or are there some necessary mods in order to run Mcgrew? I live in So OR and have wanted to run it sometime.

Either vehicle will make it. The 62 might take damage on the rear quarters depending on how careful you are. The 40 should make it easy.

You'll be bypassing most if not all obstacles in either.
