Sounds like the consensus is to take the FS road in and then wheel the Trail backward on Sunday. I spoke with G Double and that is also his preference (but he is not set on either way) I prefer the backward route and Ty sounds like he is also in for the Sunday out plan....

Not trying to complicate anything, but that sounds like a good plan.

I OG said run sat forward to just go along with the flow, but thinking about running it out make more sense for me.

Six to one, half a dozen on the other.

So sounds like that's the gameplan. Folks coming in on Sat, same bat time, same bat place (Med 8, GP 9, O'Brien 10). I'm still planning on coming in on Sat as the doesn't get off until late on Fri evening.

I was planning on just bringing my little stove, does anyone need me to bring my big kick A** stove? Or any other bits? Oh and Nick please bring that air compressor, as I have the Bronco with BIG A** tires I'm gonna need to start using that again.

Unless somone wants to wheel in on Saturday, I'll probably have to bail. I don't think it would be wise to do the trail as a single rig with my daughter. If something went wrong, it's a s***ty hike in the heat.

I am bummed, 'cause she & I were really looking forward to it and it's the only day she has to go with me all summer.

So, I only need to know if there's a chance someone is going in on the trail on Saturday. I understand completely if that's not the case and am not pressuring in any regard.

Wow, now I feel bad. If no one else will wheel in on Saturday just to run the trail I think I'd be willing to romp out of SD Saturday morning to meet you and wheel in with you. I'm running a mostly stock Bronco with no winch, lift or skids but would be a reasonable anchor, tow rig, or taxi if need be. Let me know Jeff cuz I'm kida the reason we went back to the previous years schedule. I'll PM you my cell in case I don't get back on mud to see the outcome...

One thought I do have is that some of us can wheel on Sat, and some can wheel on Sun. It doesn't have to be all or nothing.

Unfortunately at the state my truck is currently in I may end up skipping the wheeling this run. There are a few thing I need to get done by Sat before my truck is in a wheelable configuration (primarily swapping brake lines) anyway. So I might just be bombing into SD on the forest service road.

The surprised me and got her schedule changed to get off early on Friday....so now she wants to bomb into Sourdough Fri night.

So much for plans.

I probably wasn't going to be able to wheel anyway though......

I'm bombing in Saturday early afternoon and running McGrew out if I got peeps doing the same.

Jeff you should at least hit up Sourdough and enjoy the cold water so you and your girl can get out in the cruiser.

So I'm still bombing in with my girls tomorrow morning and running the trail backward on Sunday. Jeff if you want to just come spend the day at Sourdough that would rock! If you do want to wheel in on Saturday that's cool to, I would like to wheel with you again so if it's you not coming or the girls and I meeting you at the trail head we'll come out and meet up with you.

I've been on the fence. I have a couple things I needed to get done and worked most of this week (that's a good thing) so I won't make it unless I run out there Sunday and try to catch up with y'all.
FWIW I doubt you will find much to clean up from the run unless its from others who were on the trail. The club that puts on the run is pretty thorough. Please post up and let me know what the plans are.

The plan is get to SD whenever you feel the urge and we will wheel out from there over McGrew backward on Sunday

I know that Jeff and Nick will be meeting at the O'Brien store at ten am on Saturday, I am going to SD tomorrow, Ebag is going out tomorrow evening, G Double Tizzle is FS roading his way in on Saturday afternoon... That's all I know at this point. If my girls aren't tired of riding Saturday morning we will be meeting Nick and Jeff at the trail head and wheelin' McGrew with them and then doin' it again backward on Sunday... As for a time line I think it will be whenever we get up and about on Sunday...

SO as I was telling the Wif what time we needed to leave and letting her know where we had to be and when we had to be there, then I realized something, as far as I can remember Everyone I was planning on meeting was already going to be at SD, backed out or had a diff plan (BESIDES JEFF) SO as I type the only solid plan I have is to meet Jeff at O'brian store at 1000. If there is any one planning on being at Pilot in CP @0800 or at DQ in GP @ 0900 PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! In the form or my Cell 541-301-1505... I should ck this in the am, best to send a text or call.... I will throw the CB on CH 16 if your on the road holler.... I hope I didnt forget about anyone....... But I guess that why I'm writeing this at 1200
