Just a heads up to ya'll, the McGrew Pre Run is just over a month away.
As with last year, looks like the weekend after Rubicon and the Jeeper's McGrew Fathers Day Run is the best spot.
The Jeepers will hopefully take care of the hard work for us, but there are a few things that we should probably do that we haven't in years past.
Clear the trail better/wider.
The Jeepers tend to cut the trees/limbs/brush about 1" wider than what they need to fit through. That's not really wide enough for our fat rigs. Additionally, the brush tends to close in as the summer goes on, so what was plenty wide enough at the pre-run isn't nearly wide enough for the actual run.
Considering last year I almost had someone back into me because I couldn't see through the brush, I'd like to avoid anything like that this year.
Clean up the trail
They usually do a pretty good job cleaning up after themselves, but lets come prepared for that.
Clean/Prepare Sourdough
Make sure the campground is ready for everyone. Toilets are built and ready, camp areas are clear, fire pit it put together, create a stash of firewood, etc.
So who all is planning on making it, now that ya'll know I got a bunch of work planned out for ya!
