my situation is my 2010 LX 570 refuses to engage 4 low. I follow the procedure put the transmission in neutral I can move the 4lo switch and even after having it in that position for 20 minutes it still doesn't light up the 4lo light or engage 4lo tried moving forward backwards turning engine off and on nothing is working Center diff lock turns off and on right away I know that's a separate actuator I can't find any fuses for 4 Low specifically. anybody have an idea what's going on with my truck

Drive the vehicle around for a bit and get everything fully warmed up down there. Then try to engage it.

I had a situation with a 2008 where I couldnt get it OUT of 4Low. It seems the grease in the mechanism can get a hard if it hasn't been exercised, and if its cold, its even stiffer. I jacked up one wheel to put a little twist in everything, set up a space heater underneath the Tcase, and it came right out.

Maybe try parking the truck in a flexed situation, after you've driven it for several miles and then try engaging.

I dont think that center diff is actually engaging without it being in 4Low, either, but I could be wrong on that.

I have driven for a while and far enough for it to get warm it still doesn't help. Might try the battery disconnect stay tuned

Sometimes doing tight figure 8's in a gravel parking lot can help...…(or maybe that was for my 80 series....)
Can't hurt! :)

There have been a number of threads about this. Use the search term 4lo actuator on the 200 forum and you’ll get lots of posts to read. Hopefully one of the ideas in the posts to loosen up that stuck actuator will work for yours.

I haven't seen any posts which day the 4 lo light didn't even come on.. I had been engaging 4 lo a few times a month for the past several months and while it did take time to engage it always did. Please note I am getting no 4 lo light at all and don't hear the relay clicking (used to click when it engaged) clicking was from pass side dash area. Just thought I would add that info if that triggers any responses.

Switch it on. Fails to engage. Turn rig off. Should engage on restart.

Mine wouldn't engage and this was how I got it unstuck.

After this you need to use it every few days then every couple weeks then once a month.

Tried all the above methods including disconnect battery cable. Still no go. Anyone know if there is a fuse for 4 lo. Probably not. Find it curious that I don't hear the relay clicking on the pass side dash. Maybe the switch in the console is bad? I guess I should be happy it's not stuck in 4 lo which I fear might happen if I keep messing with it. Wish I had a simple LEVER like the 2000 landcruiser I sold.

I'm pretty sure there's a 4WD fuse. Check the fuse box in the driver's (or passenger's) side footwell for something labeled "4WD." The next thing worth checking would be the transfer switch itself if you're not getting any light at all on the dash.

I wonder if that switch is available by itself or if I have to replace the whole row of switched (ahc shock switch crawl control switch)

I'd be surprised if it's not available on its own. Did you happen to test your existing switch?

No. Not sure you can get to the switch. I believe they are covered by a cover on the underside. Not even sure how to get to the back of the switch

You probably need to pull that panel off to get to it. There are some YouTube videos of dash disassembly and other threads here that may have FSM instructions. Any luck checking on the fuse?

Haven't checked fuse yet. Will post soon after I check it

Getting to the switch is not too hard. You can pry off the leather side trim pieces and pull the entire center console out after unplugging a few things. Then just flip it over and unscrew the different layers. My DAC switch had been sticking due to previous owner's coffee/Coke spills and hair. I was able to get to the switches, underlying contact pad and PCB without issue and without any instructions - it's pretty obvious once you get it apart.
