I should have my new slide in rebuilt by HH. My brother says he can strip it to the frame, build new walls, install a whole new interior with new fridge, AC and king size bed in two weeks.

Clint needs to borrow your brother.

I've been saying I know guys in Elkhart that could do the work.

Slide in pick up camper so I can still tow the trailer.

Before pics don't do it justice. Not after I saw what it might look like when it's done. My brother's plant builds amazing stuff. His cabinet group leader was supposed to come over today to start designing the cabinets.

It's kinda cool being able to have input for every detail and having 2010 materials and equipment installed.

I figure for $100 I can't hardly go wrong.
camper before.webp

That is extremely cool.
We (I) have contemplated truck campers in the past but it wasn't going to work for a family of 4 and I couldn't justify it just for wheelin.......unless I found one for $100!!!!

Just for s***s and giggles we looked at new ones with slideouts...they were as much as 30 travel trailers.

I love old s***......Nice score Gum!!!!

Thanks.

The current plan is all new metal, new roof, new windows, new lights, and new hookups on the outside.

Inside the cabinets are all getting ripped out. The closets are coming out. The sink and stove, icebox, and furnace are all coming out.

We're doubling the size of the bed with a new 4" king size memory foam with drawers and cabinets underneath the part that's not in the overhang. Big two way fridge/ freezer. New furnace. modern insulation. new paneling. A/C on the roof. table and bench for working on the R/C car.

Maybe outside wall mounted grill.

We're talking about a 42" flat panel in an outside cabinet with an awning. We'll see about that.

No onboard water, shower, toilet. Gotta keep it light. I figure I can put a water tank on the trailer and put up a bag shower and curtain on the outside.

After all that badassness for $100 I think you can get a good generator to make sure it all actually works :D

If someone gets there early enough to get the good spot up on the hill in the SW corner...I have all day friday off...

My 2000 is perfect for the 5k window unit I use....3000 for the roof air tho...

The 5k freezes a slide easy.

With a king bed there is enough for Gum and Tony to spoon!!
Or Gum and a partner to be named later.

With the loud generator you can sleep at the other end of the campground next to Carl's van. Besure to give Clint the number to get ahold of those guys when they get it done.
