I recently finished up a bit of a build out on a 2010 GX460 and wanted to share the process here. This car was dropped off at my little shop completely stock and I worked on it in between other projects coming and going over the course of a couple months. The timeline kept extending due to the project snowballing after we had started :D

In stock form with some mild trail rash already

Moved it inside and started tearing it down. Installed a Victory 4x4 front winch bumper loaded with a Warn Evo 10s and Baja Designs lighting. Remote mounted the winch control box behind the grille using a GX470 mount from Goliath Offroad. I was able to spin it around and modify it slightly to fit the 460 core support. Winch wiring and other accessories are attached to a set of billet battery terminals from SDHQ

contd...

Cut out an access hole in the trim panel to plug in the winch controller if the remote dies. Setup an ARB twin air compressor on a Rago Fab mount bracket. This setup worked well, but had no provision to mount the ARB air manifold which required some creativity. Also got a 6 button Auxbeam setup in there with a simple little bracket.
Auxbeam switch panel mounted to the dash vent using an Ohana Rig Supply bracket.

Next up was the suspension install. We went with an OME BP-51 3" setup running medium rear coil springs. This is a fantastic suspension that rides nicely on and off road. Complementing the OME parts was a slew of other upgrades including Perry Parts bump stops and rear coil spring mounts, Dobinsons coil spacers to counteract the KDSS lean, Overland Custom Design KDSS bar spacers, and DR.KDSS pan hard correction bracket and KDSS bar clamps. I also used the DR.KDSS fuse box extension cover, which was a perfect remedy to fit a fuse tap in there for the switch panel.

Since this kit was designed for the 4Runner the resi bracket on the pass side wouldn't work, but after playing around with the positioning for a bit I realized a nice simple hose clamp would work perfectly.

After getting the suspension and wheels on this thing it was looking big!

The next step was getting this set of rock sliders from Victory 4x4 installed. The built in courtesy lights are a nice touch. The went on pretty smoothly thankfully, I had seen some other threads and videos of poor fitmnet before they revised the design. It was really tricky to get the driver side installed around all the KDSS components. I should have done that side in two pieces instead of an assembled unit.

And the last piece of the puzzle arrived. This is the high clearance rear bumper from Nguyen Works that retains the rear crossmember. I stripped everything out of the back end of this car and cut away a lot of low hanging plastic! These bumpers seem to be divisive in the community, I am personally a fan of the high and tight side paneling but think they look better with the swingouts.

To get this mounted I had to remove the factory air suspension compressor, which I had planned on leaving in place to negate any error codes. Of course as soon as I unplugged it and pulled it out the dash lit up with warnings. I haven't found any good work-arounds for this like there is on the 470's. So I started fumbling around with the compressor and stripped off the pressure sensor and large frame mounting bracket. I managed to slip what was left of the compressor housing up into the wheel well against the frame where the factory harness could still plug back in. There was a convenient threaded hole in the frame right there to bolt it down solidly

And some final shots of the finished product before it went back home! It was fun to do a 460 project like this, as I mostly work on the 470's here. These are nice cars, perfect luxury dual purpose rigs and I totally understand the appeal!

Welcome to the forum!
Great buildup! That now looks very capable and kick arse on a trail.
One thing that you'll eventually need to do, if you haven't already, either redirect your tail pipe or delete the resonator and have the pipe come out before the rear axle and to the side. Ask me how I know (time 2).
Really like the lights in your sliders. I've been meaning to do that for a while, just too lazy I guess, but definitely worth it.
Quick funny story: Up in the mountains, long, long time ago, with our wife and kid. Late a night, parked on snow. Coming back out to leave, walked up to our van (Toy Previa at the time) to unlock and get the family in. Driving down the road, my wife and I are smelling dog poo. It was of course cold as we were just starting out, we had the heater blasting. Well, what happens when you heat fresh, soggy dog poop :poop:? Didn't know were it was coming from. Pulled over, everyone got out, looking all around, checking our shoes. It was on the drivers side (yeah, my side) floor mat. I must have stepped in it as I was getting into the van. Took a while to get the stink out, for a day or so, but peeyuu!!, did it stink!
After the bank account recovers, you may consider swapping out to all LED's?

my hesitancy with that bumper are the lack of parking sensors. were you able to retrofit them?
The Victory front bumper does have provisions for the parking sensors, but since I was cutting off the whole section of rear bumper that houses them I turned off the system and eliminated the sensors. The front sensors were already pretty janky, the front end had seen a few hits previously.

Thanks! Curious what you have encountered with the exhaust? For this setup I just cut off the rear resonator right at the axle, its pointing almost straight down by the rear diff.
I agree that having the puddle lights is a great feature to see what you're stepping in! These are LED's already, the angle they are placed at provides a nice even spread around the car.
Awesome-- simple and clean. Nicely done.

Thank you!
