Hey y'all!

Long time lurker, first time poster. I started browsing the forum some time ago, and picked up a 2010 460 at the end of February last year, 78k miles at the time. She now has ~93k miles, and I'm finally getting into (slowly) making the functional mods I've been hoping to make for a while now. Here's a couple pics from after I brought her home:

Not long after I found myself picking up a class iii hitch along with a 1-Up rack + RakAttach. :) also scooped a not pictured glovebox organizer.

Haven't done much else other than maintenance the last year or so, but fortunately that's changing fairly quick here. I have a set of 17" SSW Raptors + 265/70 Open Country AT3s getting installed tomorrow which I'm stoked for! Have some off-roading and camping planned for this summer so I'm looking forward to seeing how everything performs.

Up next on the shortlist will be the typical culprits:
- Sleeping platform build, likely will go with the GX Basecamp plans.
- Sidestep delete, putting sliders in their place (anyone know of a way to keep the puddle lights with aftermarket sliders? I could have sworn I've seen a solution before but was coming up short on my search recently)
- A Beatsonic unit to get back my beloved Android Auto.
- Tailgate table
- Roof rack

Overall a pretty mild build, but nonetheless I'm excited to be a part of the community and get interacting with the forum more. Cheers!

Welcome to the forum! Great rig you're starting off with!
For puddle lights on aftermarket sliders, you can just get an LED strip of outdoor lights the length of your sliders, tuck them up high, zip tie (cable tie) and splice the wiring into the existing puddle light wiring. Should be a very easy and cheap mod that'll provide a lot more light.

Thanks for the tip! That's good to know it's that simple.

Got the new wheels and tires installed yesterday! I've got a little bit of rub to address but nothing too terrible, seems to be primary coming from the flaps behind the front wheel, at close to full lock specifically when the corner of the tire is at just the right angle. Other than that, I'm liking how it's driving so far and LOVE the way the new setup looks. Can't wait to test it out on the trail!

Looking good!

You can try a low profile bolt on the inner fender well, sometimes it works others it doesn't. Seeing how you are planning on sliders once you cut the steps off it will go away once you install the sliders. Before I put sliders on mine I used the ziptie method

Another take on the zip ties but using stainless cable, if I was going long term how I would have gone

But once the steps are removed the interference bolt head will be gone with them as well ;)

Problem solved for good

Also, you can get an inexpensive heat gun and reshape the inner fender wells too. It doesn't need much shaping.

I had to do this. Even with sliders I was still getting rubbing… and I’m on 32s.

So I removed the notorious screw and eliminated a good chunk of the rub, and what remains is significantly less loud and obnoxious than what was there before. :D gonna bust out the heat gun one day soon and see if I can get rid of the remaining rub until I upgrade to sliders and get to start chopping off otherwise problematic areas.

In other news, got ~90% of a sleeping platform built out today. A few last touches remain such as probably adding a couple handles for deploying the platform from the second row, some eye screws and turnbuckles for fastening the platform down to the cargo tie downs in the rear, and sorting out the legs for the head piece and adding some adjustable feet to help level things out in the middle where the sections me.

I'm pretty happy with how it's come together though! Just need to find a mattress to fit, unfortunately the width between the wheel wells leaves it right in between standard mattress sizes, but I've already found a few off-size RV oriented options that should do nicely.

Apologies for the nighttime photos, got excited to share.

Will you be adding D-rings for strapping down gear?

Oh that's an interesting idea, I hadn't considered it but I like that! You're picturing putting them on top of the platform, kind of simulating how the floor and back-of-the-second-row tie downs are in the stock configuration?
