Realized I made a mistake and had to relocate the bungee cords to clear the 2nd row. Everything is more sturdy now even though I am using 2 less handles to attach the cords to, and everything is tucked away more neatly so that the 2nd row occupants do not bump their heads into the stuff above them. I can also see a little more out of the rear view than before.

I love that your 3rd row has video available

Yeah the previous owner had 4 kids. I honestly don’t need them I just don’t know what to do with them. Could I maybe trade them for a normal headrest plus parts? I would at least like to find someone who would put them to good use.

I would honestly love the extra space from taking out the third row and possibly even 2nd row for more living space, but hate the thought of not knowing what to do with these amazing chairs. Powered heated DVD players... too nice to sit there and collect dust but at the same time I don’t need the third row which makes the DVD players useless. At the very least I’d like to trade the DVD players for something more practical. It’s too nice for me to keep for no reason.

If you want them let me know. You don’t have to give me anything but I’ll accept donations in parts if you do. I assume the headrests are interchangeable and is Bluetooth/reprogrammable?

Are they Rosen brand? My car had the 2nd row video aftermarket , but not the third row. I have tan seats unfortunately.

VizuaLogic is the brand. I can live with a different color headrest lol. It adds personality especially if it was for a good reason.

Important thing is it goes to someone who will give it the use and appreciation it deserves, and judging by how much work you have been putting into your entertainment system... it might be right up your alley. As far as compatibility goes I am clueless though.

Sadly I haven’t turned it on even once but some of my friends have just to test it.

What powers these things anyways? I don’t see any wires running into the headrests??

Wires thru the headrest posts to a box that at least pulls 12v from somewhere. The Rosen in my car then networks them so they can share video, broadcasts an fm signal for while car listening etc. a lot depends on the model features

I’m pulling my rear seats soon

Where does the wire run, through the metal headrest anchors? I Couldn't pull it all the way out because the ceiling is in the way, guess you have to tilt and pull.

Yes thru the metal headrest supports. If you tumble your seats you should see them somewhere

My stalwart heated blanket did not work (drained Noco Genius from full and did not heat up). I returned it and got a electrowarmth twin heated 12v instead. Will test it if it gets cold tonight.

Also went ahead and picked up the Renogy 72000 MaH power bank for More capacity. I have to say I am very happy with the maxoak 50000 mah bank. It had kept my laptop phone and cameras full all night and still least 50% to spare.

The question I have now is whether or not it is safe to use the 20v 5amp output on the maxoak powerbank, to charge the renogy power bank. The power adapter that came with the renogy is a 15v 2 amp. I have 12v 2.5amp and 20v 5amp as outputs on the maxoak, but the 12v is insufficient and won’t charge the renogy, but the 20v5amp will.

Also, this is my current sleeping setup with no drawers and third row still in. I am happy with it, especially with the window inserts. It gets super dark in here just like how I like it when it’s bedtime. Last photo is me looking at the front of car from back.

Red bungee cord is perfect for keeping the electrowarmth pad flat against my MegaMat. Also the Renogy is only 1/4 charged after driving around for about a quarter tank of gas.

Going to use the Noco until the Renogy is fully charged. First impression of the Renogy is that I really like the flashlight and Emergency flashing lights. It also feels much more rugged than the maxoak. I think if the Renogy allowed pass through-charging, then it would be a big step above the maxoak.

Anyways, this electrowarmth pad is looking really promising (heating up fast!). Hopefully no more waking up in middle of the night to warm up the car for heat!

She’s slowly coming together boys.

Today we added sheets to the megamat, added headrest laptop mount, and added an Alfa USB long range wireless adapter.

Even got to put the blue bungees to good use! They are holding the sheets in place.

First photo is speed test with the laptops built in adapter, and second is speed test on same network with Alfa adapter. I will be testing range on it this week.

I like that the laptop mount can be tucked away into the seat organizer when done.

Oh right I added a seat organizer to the right seat today as well. This one was 7 bucks.

The cow is sleeping like a baby in the front as I’m messing around in back.

I’m going to give the 20k oil filter a shot. After opening all the ones they have and peeking inside, I decided to go with the FRAM ultra synthetic filter.

The oil filter housing with ez drain plug is going in with this oil change, and I replaced the OEM oil drain nut with an EZ drain valve last time. Now the plan is to change the filter Every 15k and oil every 5 or 7.5k. I will go ahead and change to the 15k oil just in case I want to go past 5k, which i think I will.

I will take a picture of the OEM filter at 5k and compare it to this one at 15k when I get there.

I will be sure to make a video for my first oil change where both ez drain valves are in (with hose nipples), and where the filter will not be changed. Going to be a short video.

and you didn't use 0-20w because?

I took picture of the wrong one, good eye. I had to double check but thankfully I did buy the right one. I scared myself for a second there lol.

Oh and I’m liking those gap filler organizers, now my cups actually fit and it’s a nice place to put stuff without ruining my cup holder area.

Also got these sun visor organizers for 7 bucks each! I’ve been sticking organizers wherever possible lol.

Leaving her parked in high is more challenging with Tiger on board, but we make it work. I just put her in low then let him out, then he sits by the drivers door while I put her back in high and leave her parked.

Yes, I have considered leaving her parked in low but it just feels wrong. I assume I’m not the only LX owner with this dilemma.

And I have been living in the LX for 3 weeks now, that’s why things have slowed down for mods. I have been prioritizing living necessities like storage and organization and then it’s back to looking for smaller rims and all terrains/capability mods.

My latest crazy idea is to find a wrecked Tesla and take the battery tray and stick the entire tray on the roof, and then using that to power an off-grid camp/or a trailer full of subs and a living room (called “The Bassment”). I’ll throw that into the list of ideas I probably can’t ever afford to put into reality lol.

Anyways, I can’t stress enough that if my first home is going to be a vehicle, then I am damn grateful that it is this one.

I leave mine in low if it’s kneel mode. Don’t care much what others might think. Then again with 35” low mode is the same chassis height as normal with stock tires. It does look effectively slamm3d

To me it's about making it harder for others to peek into the car; better chance at remaining stealth. I like for people to think it's just any other car during the day, and that's the main reason i put the 2nd row back up when i am not sleeping and in civilization. I also just like how it looks and that's enough of a reason for me to do it.

I've learned a while ago to stop caring about what others may think when it comes to things that make me happy, and my life has been much easier since. Good to know you are the same way.

I was hoping my gym was exempt from the forced closings since they require each member have a key to enter, but even Anytime fitness is closed as of yesterday.

Which means the next mod will be to install a shower system.

I was thinking maybe a DIY version of the Road Shower, like the H20T, but I am open to ideas for something simple as well. I was also thinking of getting an immersive heater to warm the water quickly. I like the idea of a pressurized system so I can use it to wash the car as well.

@LandCruiserPhil I have been following you around different shower threads and seems you have tried a lot, what are you using now? The bottle still? I have a 110 lb dog with me so I was thinking something bigger for him but would love your thoughts anyways.

Also considering something like the rooftop cargo bag for Cheap storage until I can afford something better.

Any advice here would be awesome. Hoping to get this done this week/ASAP.

Thank you and stay safe!

Also, I really want an awning with walls so I have an outside place to hang out/cook and etc. Any recommendations? Any mud vendors?
