Guys just wanted to say thank you so much for your advice and expertise on the 200 Series. This thing literally inside and out looks like it has 30,000 miles on it it's incredible.

Everyone I have shown it to today is blown away and now "gets it".

I am a little worried in the back of my head even having 180,000 miles on my 4Runner, but an independent shop I used for years says even a 5.7 could be a 500,000 mile engine if it's properly maintained. Hoping to keep this one at least 100k more!

Welcome Congrats. Feel free to look through the FAQ sticky thread and see what others have done to their rigs

Looks great! If it's as nice inside as it looks outside, I'd say you're got a winner there!

We are officially twins... Same year, same color. Congrats & enjoy... I smile every time I get behind the wheel in my 2008, and I'm sure you will too. What a great truck...

Wow looks great! Congrats!

Nice going!!

Welcome to the mudness!

Inspection came back thumbs up. Very little rust on undercarriage. Previous owner needs to buy a 2016 now that I can grab in 8 years! Only a little rust starting on rear shocks. I'll do that replacement and one skid plate missing.

Obligatory interior shots

The service tech was speechless to the condition

Damn! I literally emailed this seller from autotrader an hour ago. It almost looked to good to be true, but I'm glad it was as advertised for you! Congrats

You know it's special when you find battery acid in unopened wireless rear entertainment headsets

Wow. Looks FANTASTIC for 150k! Must have been pounding the interstate for most of that, because it looks just as nice as what I considered a "perfect" interior on my 48k mile 2008. Clearly whoever owned that thing was gentle, to say the least. Bravo! Good for you. :)

Just make sure to check the service history. You can go to Toyota's site under ownesr and put in the Vin and it will give you all of the history.

The 2 biggies - Coolant @ 100K - helps protect the POS plastic radiator top that is prone to cracking when hot and spark plugs @ 120K. The only other things to look for are serp belt, make sure the water pump isnt leaking, and have a new starter handy as 150K has shown a few (very few) to go out and its a major PITA since its under the intake manifold. Check the pads and rotors, mine ate them up every 60K or so, I am sure those are good as you said the inspection was good and they definitely would have checked that. Other than that its just your typical fluids and she will go another 350K!

Thanks Archtaan! I looked at the full history before purchase, and it was very detailed. Water Pump, Serpentine Belt and Coolant were all recently completed so I should be good there. I'll need to do the front brakes relatively soon and those rear shocks but other than that I look forward to another 350k! This might be the first vehicle I keep for 10 years!

I was wondering what these things were for. A remote holder

Looks great! I missed one in similar condition a few months ago. Mine isn’t quite as nice inside. But a bit lower in mileage.

Word to the wise. At 150k, go ahead and get the starter done. Don’t want it failing on a trip. Ask me how I know.
Better to do for $650 when planned, rather than $1200 and stranded.
