saw this in its beginning stages on my way out:
http://www.inciweb.org/incident/1511
when I stopped to hook up the radio, saw a few helicopters and a P2V working the fire.
Someone said they evacuated Sorensen's, which is about two to three miles from blue lakes road.
calfire says they contained it to a hundred acres, but inciweb doesn't seem to have that update, and neither do any of the online articles I found.
I had a great time, looking forward to next year

I left at 9PM last night. When I got close to highway 88 on blue lake road I could see the fire. I had never seen a forest fire that close at night.

Had a great time. Thanks to Georg and the crew for putting it on again.

Attention!!!!!!!!

I'm writing the 45 Run article again this year, so if any of you have some killer pics, please resist the temptation to post them here and send me a PM, and they just may make it into print!

Also, we need a sponsor list, so any of you that brought goodies for the raffle, please post up, I don't want to miss anyone, no matter how small the contribution!!!

Thanks for any help folks!

Great run!! Thanks to Georg for organizing this. Hope everyone had a safe trip home. Jerod, thanks for driving yesterday.

Brian

Another GREAT event!
Thanks Georg!

Awesome location and great bunch of people. Katherine and I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and opportunity to spend time with so many friends.

Jerod and Georg, the raffle kicked ass! Scary organized! And thanks to all that donated prizes. How about that hand made quilt? Camo'd, 45 Run, bezel.

Unfortunately, a few people missed the raffle due to trail carnage requiring some serious BK "Master MacGyver" trail repairs. Amazing bit of field engineering to get everyone back into camp on a VERY cold night.

Good times!

Oh yeah, Fulltime 2WD rocks! We got some amazing mpg on the way home.

Sincere thanks to Teapot and Mr. Manny for helping me get the wagon rolling Saturday afternoon. Wish you were here when I'm wrenching on the driveway. Sorry I cut our wheeling trip short. We'll try again next year.

Awesome time! thanks again for the organization. I may camp a bit further away from the loud party crew next time, but it was fun anyway. awesome to see so many cruisers get together in a casual atmosphere.

Just got home to San Luis Obispo. Thanks for a great event and now to fix some of that "character" that my cruiser picked up on the trip.

Oh, and I know realize that I really want a cage and a rear locker.

Georg, thanks for everything, for help with my 60 series disk swap, for the transfer drain plug that I thrashed on the trip, and all the other little questions that I had.

Thanks to GreenFox for helping me get my rig running better before the trip.

Thanks to Skillet and Fast Eddy for letting me and the :princess: hang out. Thanks Jeb for showing us the way, and Ed for gas.

Time for bed, peace.

I wish I would've seen these pics before I "tried" to make it. I got to where they are stuck, going the other way with two wheels on the log pile.

The carnage: 1 tire, 1 potentially repairable blinker, a rolled fender corner and a few square inches less of original Olive Green.
