I’m replacing the heater assembly cause it’s been rat chewed, beat up by PO. Nothing works. So to remove the dash
I need to unplug a wire bundle from the rear of the fuse box. It’s behind steering column. It would seem this plug has a yellow
plug lock to protect it. I can’t reach it as it’s tucked right in there. Pics are blurry as my iPhone is to close. Anyone here
help me to release this yellow lock around the plug? It’s probably a technique thing, but I haven’t dealt with one of these
before and just can’t figure it out. The one pic is straight down through the windshield looking behind the partially removed
dash. As soon as this thing is unplugged the whole dash will come out. Can’t believe there wouldn’t be a plug under the dash
but it’s a continuous circuit.

Wow, I feel kinda foolish but have to admit it was a bugger to see. Finally got the fuse box
turned just enough and it unplugged easy enough. That turned out to be about the most
stressful thing so the heater has been removed and replaced
