So last week, i noticed this squealing sound from my car front wheels. I took it to my friend and he saw that my cv driveshaft was leaking. So we replaced that with NAPA brand CV driveshaft.

But after the cv were replaced, I still notice this sound still persists at about 2 or 3 mph. Only after the car is driven for a while. This sound does not exist when I first startup the car and start to drive.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Check the parking brake. Mine was frozen in position and caused a similar sound.

Yes they are rear, but the noise translates well to the front. I could not place the sound very well from driver position, but an observer outside the car placed it to the rear. It could also just be a brake pad worn down and need to be replaced.

thanks for the suggestion. i never ever use the parking brakes but will tell my mechanic that this coming weekend.

i hate the fact that i replaced the cv driveshaft with napa brand. the oem are $1,100. i tried calling all the local shop but no one rebuild cv nowadays.

Bummer, all you needed was a reboot of that OEM axle.

Regarding the grinding noise from the front, your video was restricted so I couldn't view it, but I'd check the front brakes. I had a grinding noise when I bought mine and it was the anti-squeal spring that was digested by my rotor.

If the noise stops when you apply your brakes, something in that system is definitely suspect.

i know, first time i put a none oem product into my vehicle. i still feel badly about it.
retry open the video again, it was unlisted, but now i set it to public. you should be able to view it now.

That sounds like brakes to me.

I have exactly the same squeal. I don't know how long it's done it. Probably since I put new calipers on around two months ago. I buy loaded calipers so I just assume the clips and wires are correct.
The top most clip on both sides of mine rub. I'm going to bend mine up a little on both sides and go drive when I finish these bearings.
Red circle. Give it shot. IDK

I had that exact same squeal from my rear left brake pad. Take a power washer and stick it in near the caliper to clean out and crap that's in there?

issue resolved, apparently the pads (front driver) are stuck and rubbing against rotor.

debris, dirt, and rust are filed from pad and shim. these components the were greased.

Those are shims, your new pads will come with new shims.
