Hey y'all. Just testing the waters to see if anyone is interested in our LX. My parents bought it in April 2010 with around 40k miles. Its only been used by my family to get around town and we are getting to a point where it doesn't get driven at all. This car has been my dad's baby and it shows. All maintenance has been done religiously, except for the timing belt. Don't have pictures yet, but should have some early February.

- 2006 LX 470 Sand Dollar Pearl
- Texas owned, rust-free car
- 92k miles (will have to check the exact number)
- No accidents (small scrape on front bumper but planning on having Lexus fix it)
- Brand new Michelin tires with less than 5k miles (bought from discount tire)
- Located in Houston, TX
- Asking $25,000

Message me with any questions.

Hey listen MallCrawler2006, LX470's and LC's are becoming harder and harder to find and buy, at least well maintained ones, especailly in OEM condition with consistent, documented care. I have an '07 with around 140k. It's silver, w gray interior. EVERYTHING works perfectly. It has a few little nicks/dings, and some lines in the leather. It's been sitting for the last 23 months (garaged w climate control) not being used, except that It gets started and run about 5-10 miles once a month. I've been back and forth overseas and haven't used it as I have a couple of other cars I use when I'm home. I've had numerous offers to buy it, even one at $25k cash back almost two years ago when I first put in up; I turned it down. Every time I'm home for a few weeks, someone asks if I want to sell it. The owner of a local restaurant constantly offers me $20k cash every time I go there to eat, and of course there's no way in hell I'd sell it for that.
Don't be so quick to sell. Yes, absolutley there are several units across the US priced around $15-21K range, a couple around $25, 26 K, even $30k, and some may be okay deals. But, most need so many things done once you get it just to get it back into good shape, and they have lots of miles, most over 200k, 250k, and up. Have you called a dealer to see what the 100k service costs? That's money! The pricing is scattered all over. Check eBay, CL, Auto Trader, Edmunds, CarFax, and all the auto sales sites, before you settle on a price. You know what it's worth and what you want. Don't rush it, because once it's gone, it's gone!

I'm interested in buying a 2016 plus year model next. Also looking for a 1990 FJ62 (maybe an 89), to replace my '88, which I wish I'd never let go (sold it for $15k). Regreats. I let my '83 FJ40 go back about 15 years ago, sold it for $18,000.00 hard cash. I thought I was doing good, then the market went bizzerck! Granted my 40 wasn't restored, just stock and needed a few things, but look at the market now! And, with Toyota not making them any more, or at least not sending them to the US starting around 2021/22, well the demand will only increase. LX/LC enthusiests aren't going to just quit chasing after them just because they're no longer available, hell no. Again, be patient, take your time. Research the market. Maybe you'd be better off just keeping it

Great post. These cars are truly amazing which is why my family is hesitant selling it. First buyer with 24K gets it otherwise we'll continue to enjoy it. Cheers synergy.

If you haven’t taken the time to at least call about this vehicle then shut your pie hole. Haters gonna hate. While it’s over a few thousand of what I want to pay, I bet you won’t find one in this condition anywhere. Guaranteed someone will pay this price. It’s just a matter of time.

Plus, if you're specifically looking for a 470 and will not drive a 570, I see white 470s listed with 95-99.99% of his condition for about 50% of his price - all the time.

Just facts.

Out of curiosity, where? I looked for an 06'-07' for months, and I don't know if I ever saw a southern, no-rust vehicles around 100k miles listed for less than $20,000.00. I'm not saying they aren't out there, but I'm amazed that you see them listed near $12-13k all the time. Most of the less expensive lower mileage vehicles I saw listed were from up north, or had been involved in wrecks. That was my experience, at least.

Remember, you get what you pay for. You want a 10K to 13K cruiser with high miles and rust, odors, issues, cracked glass/leather, hasn't had the timing belt/water pump service done since the first 100k service and it's now at 247k or so, with a worn out front end, torn boots, etc, then yes, absolutley they're out there, even a few well used grocery getters thats been run hard and put up wet, sitting at some no name dealership up in NY, NJ, IL, MI, IN, OH, VA, NH, etc. I guess it all depends on what you want to use it for, how nice you want to have it and how much work you have to do to it to get it like YOU want it. You want a nice run about, clean and mean, ready to go, almost turn key, that's come from someone who knew what they had and took care of it, or you plan on investing thousands on a "real" off road ready build anyway so it really doesn't matter? Off-road mainly build, then buy the $10-15k one, hell look for a $5-7k one, those are out there too. You want a nice sweet and ready to go ride, look for the biggest bang for the buck, well maintained, clean piece, and you're gonna pay for it, $18-25k, maybe more, depending on just how well its been maintained, how many miles are on it.

Lot of scare tactics, head games and just plain ole nonsense lip service going around all over. The only fool after all said and done is the fool that doesn't get what they pay for. So, be diligent and patient. Don't be a fools fool. :)
