I have looked in other threads and posted in an old one with no response. Hopefully starting a new thread will work.

I have no lights working in the rear hatch area. I’ve removed the carpet and exposed the area below the screws, and this does not appear to be normal bulb replacement to me. Do I have to replace the entire unit? It does not appear to be easily removable. Does anyone have a part number?

This is much different than my ‘03 LX470 which just has a plugged in bulb in this position.

All help appreciated as always, and sorry if I am a moron.

Only the lower red section of that light assembly actually has lighting. Bunch of red LEDs. The white portion and upper red portion do not have any lights on the inner tail lamp assemblies.

If the red LEDs aren't working on the bottom portion and it's not a fuse etc issue, then yes, you have to replace the assembly.

For removal, there are 3 nuts and then gotta pry the assembly out. Took more force than I had anticipated. Plastic trim tool wrapped in tape works well.

Inner tail lamp assembly part numbers:
RH: 81580-60130
LH: 81590-60160

Double check those part numbers per your VIN.

If you go to partsouq.com and put your VIN number in they have diagrams of every truck component. Super handy.
