There is no hiding my constant changing and evolution of vehicles...From a 07 FJC, 04 Tundra, 07 Tundra + 4wc, 2000 100 series with over 400k and still going to a mud member. To my now sequoia. After a mix of everything, I think I finally have the idea in my head of what will HOPEFULLY be exactly the mix I want.

Bought the truck stock after buying one before it, with 96k on it. ALMOST mint with one rust spot, like this one. Had some title issues because I guess wholesalers jumped the title? Idk. I was able to get my money back since the guy on craigslist was actually a decent human. Fast forward a couple weeks and I picked this one up. 170k on it. I dont ever mind mileage on a 2uz now, you can just feel if these motors have been taken care of once you drive them and walk around. Maybe it is just me?

Got to reading on what I would want for this and came to the idea that the rear axle was similar to a 80, which would then make it similar to a 100? I had old 100 springs laying around for the rear. Ordered some dobinsons shocks and went with what is known as the 80 series slinky shock. Paired it with eibach 700lb springs up front to get ready for a front bumper to be added and winch as well as SPC UCA's. So far the ride is amazing and I have a set of OME springs for the rear when the rear bumper is done with the swing out....They're just to stiff atm to be in. Its funny, I actually really enjoy the stock 100 springs in the back.

Plans for the future is a sleeping platform and to get the spare out and on back. Get some sliders and skids on the bottom, then start with the smaller detailed s*** so the bulk and most important part will be done to enjoy it. Plus I still have ideas to come up with before the rest that was mentioned.

Heres the day I got it. I knew as soon as I got home, the steps were coming off. That was the start, then to enjoy it....Which lasted 3 days....

Shortly after seeing 13487362487 other sequoias that looked like mine. I got annoyed...Ordered a set of wheels and tires. I've had great customer service with the guys at Black Rhino & also shot photos that ended up with me shooting some for them. These came out this year. They're 17x8.5 -10 offset. (they wont clear the front on a 80 without a small spacer FYI). Also have really liked my coopers in the past. So I went with 285/70/17 AT3 XLT's.

It looked tough on stock ride height. Didnt rub as bad as I thought either during normal driving. I do need a BMC

Give it a couple more weeks & I just couldnt hold back. Ordered up a set of DOBINSONs all around. Eibach front springs, and reused my old 100 series rear coils with 420k on them..lol.

I feel one should always FULLY articulate everything before wheeling after a lift. First to look back and smile as it stretches more. Second to make sure there are no issues with any brake lines or in my case, a E brake line. Which all you have to do is disconnect/cut off the bracket (12mm).

Indiana Land cruiser had a small get together down in south from me. So @WanderingFZJ & I went down & also camped with some others from here. Was nice getting to feel all the damn room in this thing. Faster than a 100, tight like a first gen tundra, feels more nimble than my old 100 and some how smaller even though I dont think it is. Here it is next a 3" lifted 80.

looks good so far. I plan to do much the same....someday......

one of my motivations for building mine was to make it unique in terms of looks, but i wanted form and function!

BTW, love that flex shot! no way a 2nd gen Sequoia can stretch out quite like that, but i do so love the 5.7...

i really did like the power of the 5.7. it handled my camper great. Just missed the smoothness of the 2uz. Surprised with how much it stretched

Shes been getting loved on lately.

Yesterday I decided to hit the beach in MI. Put in the OME2860s, had stock 100 series springs in the rear and it felt like it was to harsh of a hit on bumps. Luckily the same toyota forklift at work made easy work of flexing the truck out, spinning out the old spring, and putting in the new ones. Has a small rake now, but will settle in time. Hopefully lol.

After the raining, heading back out. I noticed the leaves on the ground and liked how they looked with the contrast....One thing lead to another and my attention went back onto the truck and I started snapping photos of that.

Scored a sleeping platform designed exactly how I wanted to offline. Saw a guy selling his sequoia and seen he had a platform. Decided to make him a offer on it and he bit.

Im terrible at describing where I go and tracking it. I just enjoy losing track of time and slowing down....appreciating things. I see a road, my mind says "do it". So I do.
