2006 Honda Element oil change (1 Viewer)

Hey everyone,
I need to change the oil in a friends 2006 Honda Element this week. Has anyone done an oil change on an Element? I have not looked at the car, but is the filter easy to get at? What am I looking at, is it a hard oil change?

I had to drive the front wheels onto a ramp to access the oil filter from below. Use a piece of cardboard or similar to direct the oil filter oil, to a catch basin without getting oil all over the engine and axle. I think you will need the appropriate oil filter wrench instead of one of those universal band thingymajigs.

Yep, go from underneath, the higher you can get it, the better, the filter is under there, the filter wrench comment was pretty accurate as well, it can be done with a universal wrench, but it will take a little work. Besides that, it is pretty straight-forward.
