I have a 2006 GX470 that is having problems with the heater. My temperature control button won't let me turn the temperature up. It will let me go all the way down to max cold, but is unresponsive if I push the "up" half of the button. Any help/thoughts would be very much appreciated.

Sounds like the button is done.
it sounds like it is the button/switch that has failed. Do you have Nav?

I have the coveted non-nav version. Problem is, I can't find a replacement for less than $1300. All the used ones appear to be gone. I keep watching ebay, but I may end up having to go new OEM. I just wanted confirmation before I spent $1300 to fix it.
Yeah, I would clean it first for sure. Those buttons are in direct line of fire for spills and dust
I have a similar intermittent issue with the fan button and I was thinking it just needed some contact cleaning. I was wondering if the button could be popped off but it hasn't bothered me enough to look into it. Post a reply if you dig into the button and how you did it.
