There are quite a few threads on this topic and questions on part numbers. Assuming Partsouq is correct here, can we get an answer from the parts experts if the below will work for the Lexus with the VGRS system. It seems the discontinued part ending in 4420060120 has the tie rod ends and no longer is available. Assuming here Toyota just wants you to buy the TE's seperate. The part number that states is accurate is 4425060120 which does not include the TE's. See below.

The question I have, and this might come down to mounting points and turning ratio, is does the substituted Toyota part number 4420060223 work outlined below? Clearly, the price point is what I am looking at here and considering the VGRS system is seperate to the rack and would just be a plug into this new rack correct? Any assistance with clearing this up before I move forward is helpful.

Thanks, and hope all enjoyed Turkey day.

When I use any LX470 with VGRS (03-07) VIN# at PQ. I do not see 44200-60223 as a sub.

I show the 44200-60223 as 2010-12 4runner, at web protats in the USA. Will it fit a 100 series, IDK.
Whereas the mounting points distance apart, may be the same. Even the HP & Return lines may fit.
I see many differences:
Different type mounting bushing.
HP & Return line stabilizer bracket mount point different side of Rack.
Different looking pinion input shaft.
Different boots.
Different outer TRE shape.
If PQ shows it as a sub for your VIN#, and it doesn't fit when you get it. They "may" very well cover you on shipping.
USA Toyota or Lexus, will likely switch to your VIN# proper R&P. If USA Toyota or Lexus ships to, and you gave your VIN. They cover you (insure fitment).

We've 3 R&P, that I know of for the 100 series 98-07 USA model.

The three I know of, do not come with outer TRE.
98-02 LC or LX the same. 44250-60100 (Blue paint srtip)
03-07 LC 44250-60100 (Green paint strip). Can be used with LX Many have used the LC (non VGRS R&P) on the LX VGRS system.
03-07 LX 44250-60120 (Black paint strip) VGRS. Can be used with LC . It's believed to have a slightly different pinion to rack gear ratio.

The 100 series has 2 different outer TRE. The 98-02 & 03-07. 4 P/N's, if we consider difference in (shape/angle) of RH & LH sides.

what is "PQ"?

PQ = Partsouq. Which is, where OP pulled his pictures and subs from.

FWIW, "souq' is Arabic for (street) market.

Thanks @2001LC for the thorough reply. I also was skeptical about that Toyota part number as well. I put my VIN in PQ again and didn't get that Toyota unit as a substitution. Sorry, must have fat lingered my VIN when I put it in. I agree, the 60120 is the right unit for VGRS equipped LX's. Thanks.

Just FYI - Lexus dealers are running a 10% off plus free shipping up to $100 through Tuesday. Not as good as the current Toyota sale but you can get a VGRS rack for ~$845 out the door depending on the dealer, such as Cavender Lexus of Lubbock.

augustwest, thanks for the hot tip! I'm needing a new rack on my 04 LX due to blown out bushings and end seals. I'm also doing new headlights and a retrofit to replace my aging and broken poly headlights. Saved $600!
