not bad for such a heavy rig.

I wonder what an 80 with a 3FE would do...

I believe the 5 speed LC from 03 on was also quicker than the 4 speed model.

I believe the 80 with the 3FE was like 11 seconds to 60.

That's probably about right. You don't notice it in day do day driving in Normal mode, but when you hit the PWR ECT button, the engine roars to life. You get thrown back into your seat when you gun it.

Very cool. I hope to purchase an 06 one day. Enjoy.

I think those times are optimistic. They list the new Tahoe at 6.4 sec. and the current Suburban (2500) at 6.5 sec. There's no way those trucks are that fast (I have the current 'Burban) so I'm assuming they gave the LC too good a time too.

I will be taking the wife's new '06 out this weekend up to SF and down the coast to Santa Cruz with family. I will try to get away and see what I can do. 7.6... maybe... sure seems faster than either of my other 100's or my dad's '04 (or my mom's '03, for that matter)

Whoa! You're telling me you have 5 100's in the family? Nice.

3FE 11 seconds to 60, and 6" is about THHHIIIISSSSS long. :):)

I have three, just got the 2006, and the '99 is getting ready to sell. Mom and Dad - on the East Coast - have one each as well. Dad also has a beautiful '90 FJ-62. My '85 60 is getting ready to start a restoration - modification period this summer.

Me too...hopefully by 2012 ;)

That is my timeframe also. I usually lag about 5 to 6 years behind on my used LCs.

uzj100 - Husky mats listed in your signature - you like them?

Yes. The keep the truck very clean, hardly ever have to vacuum. A little slippery but they work well.

Thanks. I usually run weathertech mats, but I am looking for new mats for the 06 and I am open to change :)

I use to use weathertech but I like the high lip on the huskies. That way if there is a drink spill it holds all the liquid. They also make a 1 piece second row mat.

I couldn't get it under 8 seconds. I started with the engine revs high and my foot on the brake. 8.15 was the best time. I may have had some subconscious hesitation with only 1700 miles on it, but it was very close to redline.
