Alt solution to People spending lots of money trying to achieve 2020 interfaces that have poo sound. Remove the factory tape deck, throw in a shallow single din media receiver and run aftermarket amp(s) to better speakers. Clean installs, no weird signal noises. Blue tooth, mic, clean signal, proper eq, etc all comes with the hundred and change head unit. 68 ohm resistor to the ac controls and it operates perfect

Nobody uses a disc changer and the nav on these things is no longer updated so most peeps are using phones on ram mounts or whatever.

Logic on these china specials escapes me
I have been considering going this route but have not found anything to fit in the tape deck space. Have you?

My problem with the factory nav is that it sucks to keep the big old ugly screen just to basically keep AC function.
The NAV is worthless IMO

There’s gotta be a better way to do it

when they get thirsty enough, they'll drink.
guy even makes a 3d face to single DIN, albeit way too much money.

So I had the hum issue and then I installed a new AMP and it's still there unfortunately. Anyone has any other fix / recs?
Is it the LC hiss or just a ground loop hum? If it's a hum, you can just get a ground loop filter and put it inline, turn the amp gain down, and check for good continuity from the amp all the way back to the headunit. Alternatively, you can use an optical signal from the headunit to the amp.

I have a 2005 LC. I ordered ground loop and added it right before the AMP and it make no difference. I think the conclusion that we came to was a bad head unit.
