*UPDATE*

I sent them a pic of my whole dash. What has been jamming me up on this has been the OEM touch screen is integrated with the climate control. I’d have been better off with a base CD player.

Their customer service dude Ronan sent me this link and said pick option C so the connectors would match.

From what I'm reading in this thread and elsewhere there appears to be an unlivable hum caused by this product's interaction with the factory amp. Or has that issue been resolved? Because I'll order one of these right now if there's a clearly established resolution to it.

Yes, connector would match, plus humming bonus for your LC.

Awesome. Thank you. I've ordered the basic T'Eyes, amp, and wiring kit. Watching install videos in Russian and we'll see how this shakes out. I'll post results.
I’ve got a 2005 with nav and am curious how it works out for you. Other users note the feedback hum with the stock amp, which for me, would be replaced by an aftermarket amp. Does this head unit still require a dsp if adding a sub? Been out of the car audio game for 20 years and got this LC a couple months ago - damn this s*** is complicated lol. Part of me thinks keeping it stock and getting a dsp is the easiest way…but of course, I want s new HU for car play.

I'm pretty worried about it lol. This is way more than twisting wires together on an old beater which is the extent of my experience. I've received every thing but the head unit which has been sitting in Hong Kong for nearly a week according to the tracking.

There's no perfect solution. I went the GROM Vlite2 VT2 route and I'm compromising with audio quality as well as the old touch interface. I'm guessing if someone could 3d print an elegant tablet holder that folds down to reveal the screen for HVAC controls, then using that with a bluetooth adapter would be the best bet, assuming you could hide the wires enough to look clean.

Has anyone heard of someone making physical buttons on a panel to interface with the HVAC so that we can ditch the screen all together? Then mount that button panel in the center console? That would be awesome.

I thought about running an Apple Carplay screen on a Ram mount near or in front of the OEM screen so you could have Carplay/Nav etc through it with out messing with the head unit. Thought about a unit like this:

inquiring minds want to know: show us how you will mount.

related: thought about using ultra powerful suction mount ON THE OEM screen. I plan on pushing out to the whole 100 series forum questioning on the robustness of the screen attachement. I have a jerry rig scheme all riged up but not sure the OEM screen can handle the dynamic loads.

Three kinds of audio output: FM transmitter/AUX cable/ Built-in 2W speaker
You’ll need an aux input. FM transmitter doesn’t sound ideal for quality.

Alt solution to People spending lots of money trying to achieve 2020 interfaces that have poo sound. Remove the factory tape deck, throw in a shallow single din media receiver and run aftermarket amp(s) to better speakers. Clean installs, no weird signal noises. Blue tooth, mic, clean signal, proper eq, etc all comes with the hundred and change head unit. 68 ohm resistor to the ac controls and it operates perfect

Nobody uses a disc changer and the nav on these things is no longer updated so most peeps are using phones on ram mounts or whatever.

Logic on these china specials escapes me

Thanks for the info - my VX LC been running the Teyes CC3 unit for a while - my biggest gripes are touch sensitivity on the screen (might be a setting somewhere to improve that) and the climate control, so the link to the open source stack is great.

I've noticed a Google maps issue with the unit claiming to have lost GPS signal and the map freezing - I may need to relocate the antenna, and figure out why it's not using the SIM card to re-establish location. Bit of work to do over the Christmas break...

when they get thirsty enough, they'll drink.
guy even makes a 3d face to single DIN, albeit way too much money.
