Hi all, I've got a 2005 Series 100 that was originally sold in Georgia. My understanding is that a lot of LCs brought into the country through southeastern ports were fitted with a fender flare kit like shown on my LC here.

Those gray plastic fender flares are not really "factory", but (from what I have researched) were installed either at the port, or at the dealer. So, anyway, last year I had planned to take them off, but when I removed them, the paint fade was so noticeable I decided to leave them on. I had the flares repainted, since the gray paint was failing badly, and I reinstalled them using a rubber fender welting roll I bought on eBay. Well, now a year later that cheap-ass rubber has shrunk and looks like crap, so I want to redo them.

Finally, here is my question. Does anyone know a source for the correct rubber parts for this kit? My local Toyota dealer was no help, as usual. Any pointers would be appreciated.

I've seen a few trucks with those flares and they certainly aren't my preference either.. the 100 looks so much better without them

Yeah, I would remove them, but the paint wear and fade is too much. I'd really have to have both sides of the LC repainted. Now I just would love to find the correct welting so at least they can look as good as they can.

I believe that Bushwacker was the actual manufacturer of the port installed fender flares. Considering that the last new 100 series was sold ~15 years ago, they’re probably out of production, but they’re probably your best bet.

The first gen Tundra and Sequoia had rubber trim around the flares, I bet it's exactly the same if not extremely similar.

Thanks to jLB for the idea to go to Bushwacker with the question. I chatted with Brianna on their website, and she pointed me toward part # BWR 000042-01 from their website. $29 for a 30 foot roll. I'll report back on fitment and install when it comes in.

I put fender flares on a z car a few years ago, and believe it or not, i used garage door weather seal that i trimmed so that only the lip was showing over the flare. Worked out really well...might do in a pinch if you can't find the right stuff.

Interesting. Yeah, the new one on your right matches what I used. But on my LC, it also matched the existing rubber pieces. I wonder if sometime in the last 17 years, my flares had been off before and had that rubber trim updated?

As for getting it to stick, I cleaned my flares with a paint prep product to remove all wax and/or oils. Adhered correctly on mine.
