I'm looking at 2004 LX470. It has 86000 miles, regular service, new tires, new brakes, super clean. The owner is asking $27,000. It's priced in line KKB for the mileage. I know the service interval for 90,000 miles is looming.

Can anyone give an estimate what the cost might be for the service?

Thanks

Probably would have better luck in the 100-series section... :) And "search" is your friend as the older brass on here will remind you.;)

My indy shop quoted me $900 including the water pump. Of course this depends on your geography because I've read other posts suggesting $1-2k.

IMHO Way over priced. That is the price for an '07. I just paid $18k for a loaded, wall to wall dealer serviced with 103k miles. Do your research. there are issues with transfer case leaks( at actuator), radiator leaks, brake calipers freezing up on pre '05. Also a power jump in '05. Keep looking. The consensus is '05+. A good one can be found for under $20k. Look at Edmunds for a more realistic price IMHO. Good hunting.

I was thinking you were talking about a GX in the 120 series section. Not a LX in the 120 series section. Movin' on...

Thanks for your thoughts! $27,000 is overly priced. The owner isn't having any luck, although she willing to negotiate on the price but not enough.

I'll keep looking around for a low mileage vehicle, probably a 05' GX470.

I was lucky enough to get a pre-05 with a new radiator (updated design), fixed the actuator cheap, and put on new calipers, so I am in the clear on all those items.

27k for any Lexus from 05 is too much!
